@PeskyPenguin Yep, I 100% believe that Chloe and Elly would be separated by now, if Neighbours continued. It's true, Chloe couldn't stay in a relationship to save her life lol

Not this fan. I never saw them as a couple. But then i never really liked the chloe character.

@@MsPinkwolf And that's ok as lots of others thought the same as you. But for some people these two meant more than just the story. Neighbours has been so special for so many reasons to people. Don't take the shine off a beautiful last episode. Celebrate what made YOU feel good about the show👍

From the UK too will be wonder what I will watch at 6 o clock definitely not Cash in the Attic , I think Neighbours may come back maybe like one off specials , and at least there didn’t kill off any characters and everyone decided to stay ❤️

Yeah me too , that's what I'm trying to come to terms with.

The most bizarre thing is, I stopped watching in the 90's and I'm traumatised it ended lol

@@anidemjess5875 also because it was on most days you are at a loss ! It’s not like a show were you watch it once a week for six weeks then it comes back after a year , well some have it is just resting for now so who knows and the ratings were good for the final 😊

I didn't agree with this one either to be honest, maybe just because of how it was done. Chloe and Elly barely had any screentime, they never even had a proper kiss reunion. Just felt like the writers didn't want to end the show with Chloe single, so they quickly brought Elly back, for like one episode and they are all of a sudden back together, just didn't feel natural, they just felt rushed. I actually think it should of ended with Chloe and Nicolette. They just felt like a better pairing.

@@j04370859 Chloe and Nicolette was an absolutely toxic pairing. I'm actually disappointed that Nicolette ended up with Kiri, because she didn't deserve to be happy after everything she'd done. I agree it was rushed, but the history was there, we know Elly was always The One for Chloe, despite the show's attempts to push her and Pierce, and Nicolette was just an inferior substitute that she was never really invested in. I agree that Elly's turnaround was rushed, and some of her dialogue very unconvincing, but I think the fact the show had set it up in the past without properly paying it off meant this was acceptable.

@@skteosk Nicolette was later called out for her mistakes and the learnt from it, I don't think she should be punished forever, As for the whole Chloe thing, Chloe was the one that fell for her, Nicolette around that time had even accepted that they couldn't be together. She rejected Chloe, when she wanted to sleep with her, knowing that she was just hurting. Nicolette wasn't completely vile. I just never really saw much chemistry with Elly and Chloe, in fact, they only lasted a month, when they finally got together before.

@@j04370859 Nicolette was called out a bit, but seemed to avoid any real consequences by shifting most of the blame to Paul: David and Aaron had to accept her co-parenting the child she was meant to be having for them, and incredibly Chloe spent months begging Nicolette to forgive her for...not cheating on her. Nicolette might have had the sense not to let Chloe use her for grief sex, but Chloe was soon put off by how controlling and possessive Nicolette was when they were together. It never made much sense for Chloe to break up with Elly straightaway after being in love with her for about a year and then go running straight to Pierce, so it feels right that the show finally gave them a chance. Of course, after yesterday's news, it could all be academic now...

Absolutely. Producer Jason Herbison's tenure at Ramsey Street is akin to Kathleen Kennedy's as Head of Lucasfilm. An aggressively woke agenda with badly developed box ticking, unbelievable, unlikeable, insultingly patronising characters, leading to falling ratings and alienating fans. And as with the Star Wars sequel trilogy shoehorning in beloved classic characters, as nice as it was to see them again, into the mess, couldn't save it. Add in disrespectful shoddy treatment of original talent while seeking to profit from their ideas (George Lucas for Star Wars and David Clencie for Neighbours) and the parallels continue. Jason Herbison and co took a cultural treasure and threw it down the dunny. Yet another case of #getwokegobroke - when will they ever learn.

Because she is a very important character to many people.
