This nicholas jackson slander has got to stop. He has 18G/A in the premier league. This is his first season. Any attacker that has a 15 goal involvement in the premier league in their 1st season, has had a good a season. I don't care if he has missed chances. That only proves he is human. He is not a robot. People keep saying he is not good enough. I disagree. He has been very good compared to our previous attackers in recent years. For crying out loud we had werner, havertz, lukkaku, morata. He is been far better than all of them.
Oh my god you fail to look at context Yes 18 G/A is good but Jackson misses too many chances for chelsea to compete in silverware. But he should stay he deserves at least that.
As a United fan I'd take him for £30 million to compete with Rasmus. His aerial ability and holdup is better than Rasmus and his dribbling is more destructive. Rasmus is probably a better finisher, but as competition they could push each other to be better.
Agreed, he has stopped lunging in and completely getting destroyed after. Seems like he’s calmed down and just follows the player until the tackle is there instead of just jumping at the first sight of the ball
Important context to remember is that Enzo played the last 6 months with a serious injury that required to pain killing injections every time he took the field, clearly affecting his performance levels.

Why is this guy always talking about Enzo whenever Chelsea wins? What does he mean Enzo doesn't fit Premier League.. Has he not seen how Enzo was our only player last season who was giving 7+, 8+ performance every game?? He was playing with hernia taking pain relief cos' most of our players has long term injury.
Selling Enzo is the worst take I've heard in a while. The tactical setup is different that Is why we are playing better not b/c Enzo isn't playing. This 3241 set up would be Perfect for Enzo. He doesn't have to push so high up the pitch because Gallagher will be doing that job. Which means he can stay deeper and closer to Caicedo. Cucurella had been doing a great job inverting so.would be hard to drop. But I think if you put Caicedo in that role inverting from RB where he can also play, it will get the best out of Enzo, Caucedo AND you can still play Palmer in the 10 without dropping Gallagher.
But if you are in great form and balance of the team - why would you jeopardize to force Enzo into the team . This has been the best your team has looked in a couple years. Just some genuine questions not bantering.

I wouldn’t be selling enzo either but “dropping players in form” & “playing ppl out of position” has been the criticism of poch from the naysayers all season - now suddenly we are cooking and people are saying Caicedo should be played out of position and we should drop players in form because ppl like enzo and he isn’t in the team…?

It's his misses when one on one or 5 yards out. With any sport, doing the basics is imperative. Jackson does the difficult stuff well. It's the easy stuff that gets him all the wrong headlines. You can't justify some of his misses or lack of technique infront of goal with G/A. Nevertheless, as always, we ktbffh

Chelsea are under no pressure and are playing sides already on the beach. Yrs theyve improved slightly but they are still miles off the top 3/4 sides at the moment.
I really hope chelsea fans can stop with the poch out stuff now. It was so premature as to be ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, he has made mistakes and we certainly aren’t yet where we need to be. However, as a fan base (especially the younger ones) we are victims of our recent history - we’ve come to expect that a new manager will come in and instantly achieve results. That just was never going to be the case this time round. Poch was always going to need this season to evaluate what we have, work out which of these young players will rise to the challenge this season was going to be, work out what is missing and start to get these youngsters to understand what he wants from them. The injuries have made that job immeasurably harder. There has been no continuity except for a few players (just think about who has been fit all season and who is performing - Gallagher, Palmer, Jackson, Caicedo, Petrovic and Madueke and gusto slightly less). In the second half of the season we have improved considerably. We haven’t lost to anyone but arsenal, city and Liverpool in months - and the city and Liverpool performances were fantastic. Just lacking finishing. It may well be that poch isn’t the guy to take us from second to first - that’s a fair argument. But he has a track record of improving young teams and developing young players into top performers. Has a record of taking a mid team and challenging. Compare us to last season and it is worlds apart. We are scoring freely, we look thrilling in attack at times and we progressed well in the cups. Yes we spent a huge amount of money - but everyone could see that the money wasn’t spent to compete at the top this season. We bought no one with any experience essentially. At the most basic level…have we improved from last season? Yes. Have we improved as the season has gone on? Yes. Will we finish higher on the table than last season? Yes. Have we become more competitive with top teams? 100% yes. Are our young players improving in both output and performance? Yes. Are we playing more attractive, attacking football than last season? Yes. I’m not saying don’t criticise poch game by game - but the leap from “chilwell is being played too high” to “poch out!” was and is ludicrous. There were always going to be teething problems, he was always going to get some selections wrong, some set ups wrong - he’s trying things out, learning what works and what doesn’t with these players and trying to teach the young players at the same time - and he’s done it with a hand tied behind his back thanks to all the injuries. Sacking him would be taking a massive step backwards and starting from scratch with all new ideas, requirements, players etc - and it would all be a gamble as there is no manager out there with a proven track record of success!
so funny listening to everyone who called for poch to be sacked now pinning their tails to results now showing the hard work of poch . a new manager and a load of young players unproven in their craft always meant the incumbent manager needed time and that means many years. back peddling is weakness , i call for all poch out crew to put their hand up and admit they have been wrong all along. only one manager is winning these days anyways , and that’s guardiola. let’s build our project and that requires one and all to get around poch
