I don't think Tom's screams fit the vibe of songs from my damnation. His screams are really fluid and the more groovy/syncopated/smooth writing of eternal nightmare is perfect for him, but my damnation is a very aggressive, straight and intense record with a raw and shrill vibe. Somehow Alex incorporated a degree of vocal chord vibration for that record and it sounds so shrill and unholy.
I get it we all love Alex but he fell off what’s hard to understand? Tom is one million times better especially live, Alex was shit live. This band sounds better than ever.
@@barndencactus Alex was an amazing vocalist just happened to lack live due to substance abuse and never practicing the way he should . So yes I guess you can say he was “trash” but he’s definitely and amazing vocalist period. He has the hardest flows I’ve ever heard from any dxc vocalist still to this day
@@sparechainge I’ll say live he was awful. The studio versus live wasn’t even close. You would have thought they were two different people. I’ll forever love the My Damnation album. Still one of my favorite vocal performances ever on record.
