When Jason was in Born Of Osiris, he stated how he disliked cookie cutter bands. Chelsea Grin is so fucking bad. They are heavy and may be better than Suicide Silence, but thats not hard at all. If Jason stays in this band for an album, they're gonna have to kick everyone out on strings, the guy is gonna make this shit AMAZING. Unless he cookie cuts....
They’re not better than SS. They both have VERY different and distinct sounds for their bands collectively. Tbh these were the times back then you had/have so much variety within the metal genres. You can tell apart what’s cookie cutter and what’s not. As far as Alex’s highs you gotta think, what’s the environment like? What’s the quality of the tech they’re using. Everyone got these loud ass instruments that’s obviously gonna drown out 40-45% of your vocals. There’s variables to everything
