Took me a minute to work out why they close the blinds before kick off. In the UK, it is illegal to consume alcohol in sight of the pitch during a game. What a daft law.

Chelsea stadium is like going back in time. Rich owners but haven’t sorted stadium out or moved to new one. Pretty average.

Hard to redevelop around that area. Really it was redeveloped 10 years too early. The other problem is the East Stand is so old but it has the largest capacity and would be difficult to rebuild in such a way to get more people in. Liverpool also have the same problem and were only able to redevelop one stand, the rest is a push and needs support from the local council and residents; something Chelsea redevelopment plans have always struggled with.
