Guro’s contract runs out end of next season! I doubt Chelsea will renew it, unless she is playing exceptionally well at the age of 31. I suppose it depends whether Sonia Bompastor will still see a role for her….I have every confidence Sonia will do the right thing for Chelsea, no matter who she drops from the team!

so proud of them regardless of what the result will be in the end. it's amazing to see how their determination and motivation can make anything possible. they all deserve so much appreciation for what they've achieved here and especially Guro you can tell how she's got so much passion and doing it all for the fans. going to miss Fran and Maren so so much and Emma as well i really hope they can just end this season on a high but they've done their best regardless so so proud of all of them 💙💙

Well done blues 🔵💙, my team. Also that second handball was a deffo pen, even in the replay you could see it clearly. Same with the first one, but hay ho, we won 8-0, so it doesn’t matter and that was a very good performance to end the last home game for Emma and Fran and Maren, and the last home game of the season. Aggie Beever-Jones has scored a goal for every 53 minutes she has played in the WSL without taking penalties. Erling Haaland needs an average of 91 minutes and some dodgy pens (120 minutes without them) to get on the scoresheet, making Aggie twice as good AND better looking. Are you paying attention Sarina Wiegman?

The comparison, while it is funny, should be made with Alessia Russo and Rachel Daly though, shouldn't it? I know a Haaland, but he plays an entirely different sport.

@@needfoolthings I used the name of a player many regard as the most efficient goal-scorer in the game to make a light-hearted point about the record of a promising newcomer. I don't believe comparison to Russo's, Daly's or anyone else with an inferior minutes per goal record than Haaland's makes the point as effectively. I appreciate the argument that women's football differs from the men's game in some fundamental aspects but Beever-Jones and Haaland's records were achieved against players of their own respective genders in games resulting in comparable score-lines. So, if your objection is that one has a more difficult task than the other, I don't know how valid an argument that is. Besides, tell me which player stands out as the world's most efficient female goal-scorer? I would have to look that up, which is why using her record for comparison, whoever she might be, might not be the most effective a way of making my, again, light-hearted point.

Guro fired up the team from the start. Guro should have been part of the starting 11 from 4 games ago. She is relentless and drives the team. She kept getting the ball to say let’s keep going. It’s not over until the last day. The last day of both men and women’s league is so exciting. We could have a City double or both leagues going to London. So hard to call it. Beever-Jones and Grace Clinton are the future of the England lionesses.

I really feel for Bristol city having to go through football hell on the end of a Score line like that!! it shows that there is a Gap, a huge Gap!! what the heck can be done to stop score lines like this?!🤷🤷!! Just what Chelsea W needed. The win we all knew was coming, but it was the goal difference that mattered and they certainly turned on the stile :0) beaver Jones is some find and has been brilliant all Season and Reiten is some signing. Chelsea have missed Kerr and I am sure if she had been fit and playing, that goal difference would not be an issue. Losing Bright and a few others has not helped the cause, but then City have now lost Shaw and miss her, so swings and roundabouts. Great result especially given the Man City W vs Arsenal W result. Well done Ladies!!

From a WSL Arsenal fan I'm torn by the latest results. Yes great to beat city, but it would've been nice to see someone else lift the WSL title, same in the men's game, it just gets a bit samey the same teams winning! But, that's not to take anything away from Chelsea, you don't reach and stay at the top without hard work. The Cup final will be great to watch though, a new winner on that day :)

@@gigglefiesta not looking at the weakness of the opponent team but the pattern and wisdom of play from the girls that played today. Watch their ball distribution sense, all were passing to themselves and not shooting off point the goal post to make a brilliant game. That's why is a group game not a one man shine game, is teamwork and that's what brings the game to a win.
