No police escorts in the old days .. arrived on train in wherever .. walked to ground whilst on route get ambushed then after 4 or 5 minutes old bill appeared .. same after game on return .. some places no old bill at all as they were elsewhere .. today having a row is not worth it for the sentences dished out .

West Ham always had the upper hand over the years - and I’ve been to all the games at Spurs. Just the way it is. Chelsea finished Arsenal Finished Millwall always game. My brother lived in East Ham. i used to stay with him when I was a teenager Great fun on match days. You could pay in on the gate back in the 80's I was there when they beat Chelsea 4 - 1 I think it was 88 ? john Lyall was manager It all kicked off on Green Street afterwards, the cops lost control, and just had to let them both fight toe to toe. What a sight that was. I was watching with my brother from beside the Queens pub because the cops closed off the road after they lost control of they crowd !.
