For some of us it is still uncertain when she'll get to our countries. My favorite of this set was After the Fall
+Milklatte THANK YOU THANK YOU! I have been listening to Survive over and over again - and wishing I could see what she looks like while singing it! You are the best!
+RAH ! Cool! I thank the guy that uploaded this video, is by far the best account from the first leg of the Abyss tour :) If this show had featured Maw, it would have been perfect.
this woman can't be real. she is far too perfect and talented. i hope someday i will be able to listen to her in live, only then i will believe that it is possible for such beauty to exist
+Epitaph I saw her three or four years ago in a really small club, and somehow managed to get front row right up in front of her. It's between her and Swans for the most utterly hypnotic show I've ever been to, and neither of them are even my favorite artists (though I do like them both). There is just something about those two live shows that was unlike any other live music I've witnessed. I think my jaw was on the floor her entire set. I'm going to see her again next month and am super excited. I missed her last few tours she did.
Absolutely love hearing her perform Grey Days and Color of Blood live, as they show just how incredible her voice really is that she doesn't hide behind studio effects.
Seeing her live will literally change your life. I saw her in Detroit in May. it was like, having the most intense, ground shaking emotions given to you all at once.
Saw her live here in Stockholm Sweden a couple of weeks ago and she played an almost identical set. Front row no less only feet away from this enigmatic fascinating woman. Fantastic show and LOUD as all hell 🤘
this show seems much better than some others in that she seems more comfortable/confident and her voice stronger than earlier shows. I am seeing her later this month here in Seattle....can't wait!
what a insanely great show she put on in Seattle back September. completely mesmerizing the audience into a trance it was something very special. love this woman and her haunted and lovely music. most songs of abyss sounded better than the studio version mark of genius. p.s. thank you Pitofshit for recording all these killer shows.
Candise Yang Apparently we can get only the two Fucks. It was supposed to be a game ppl, but I do understand the. first 100 times I watched this I was mesmerized as well. Magick, she is, and that's with a k for those of you that know what I me. ;)
Thank you so much for sharing this stunning performance! Hopefully she will come to Mexico soon... I think the guys with the big cameras are from the press, there's no place in the world you could enter a show with such a pro equipment ;)
+Nowherewoman33 I have asked her to come, once her manager replied they are 'working on it' but haven't heard anything ever since. Let's make some pressure!
@@Milklatte Manager should have sent a roadie out to kick Mr. Flash camera in the ass and out the door. Or maybe stop the show until numb nuts is removed
After waiting for so long, I finally find another artist in the vein of PJ Harvey (her early work). Then I'm forced to listen to an A&W commercial between song... This is indeed a bitter/sweet experience...
@@dzenanarizvic9505 I'm talking about the genre, not about someone being a singer and a songwriter. And there's nothing wrong with both of them. But the regular singer-songwriter genre(!) just ain't my thing, that's all.
Holy her live music hits hard. Dream of going to a show of hers to really feel the energy she throws into this art :) Chelsea is truly an artist like no other.
I saw her the other day at the Detroit show May 19th. I did not know until they got on stage that her long time drummer Dylan is no longer with them. The new drummer, a petite young lady, is a powerhouse player. Man, that cat could swing. I also didn't recognize her current auxiliary guitarist as it is a he, not a she, like in this video from the fall tour. Either way, both incarnations of the band are immensely talented performers. And I'm grateful as all get out that Ben is still there right beside her!!
I saw her in September 2012 and then again in May of this year, and she had the same male guitarist onstage with her at both shows (same bassist as well);. The only band member that changed in the lineup was the drummer, who is now a female, as you've said.. I've seen some videos of her 2015 shows where the second guitarist is a female (as was the case at this show), but I'm guessing she was a temporary fill-in or something, because she was not with them on this last tour.
Aurielle Zeitler said she'd go into teaching, that's why she quit. And Chelsea brought in her friend Jess Gowrie to drums, because of their long friendship. I'll reserve my personal preferences :)
I really like this woman, there's something so pure and beautiful about her. From her looks to her shyness and modesty, a lucky man he is who marries her.
I wonder why she ditched the Jaguar for the Gibson ES. I feel like single coil pick ups would have had a lot more noise in sound for the new songs. I don't really know much about the ES models though, Fender to Gibson just seems like a big leap.
aurielle's solo stuff is worth cheking out too, called Ghost Marrow, in a similar vein, more ambient. I think her and the producer John Congleton contributed a lot to Abyss I think is a lot stronger than last album, I really like Apocalypsis though but Abyss is just finding her definite sound, maybe as a band just as much as her
A asian drummer...o hell naw.. 😳... Not trying to be get down on the asian rave but there not known for there rhythm..not that i know of anyway... But i suppose its acceptable as long as he isnt allowed to SING or touch a microphone.. If u doubt how horrific that can be listen to anything by yoko ono 😣.. Or just about any other asian singer..nails on a chalkboard is appealing by comparison..4 real
