Suggestion-- get a piece of acrylic or better yet... plate glass ... cut for that table top. It is a game changer!!

Scrapbooker’s tip for you: If you store your ink pads upside down the ink will stay on top and you won’t have to re-ink them as often! I love your new coloring space!

Just a tip for your desk!! Get a quilters' cutting mat or, if you don't like the look of all the measurements, a crafting silicone mat. They wipe clean and you can get really large ones to cover a large area. I like a cutting mat because you can't cut through it, and I use xacto knives on different things.

Happy New Year! Love your new desk. Just a thought, but when I bought a new desk a few years ago for my crafty endeavors, my husband had a piece of glass custom cut for my desk top. It's probably at least a 1/2" thick and has a really nice smooth edge to it. You'd still be able to see your wood finish beneath it, while also protecting it.

For your desk, get a piece of glass the size of your desk, and you'll have no issues with damaging the top. You can also add lists, calendars, pictures, pressed flowers, etc. under the glass.

Yes to glass for your table.. have it it on my desk for several years works great.. ( my desk is just like yours in darker wood but a bit bigger love watching you two! Poncho is beautiful … love seeing your knitting, journaling

You should just get clear adhesive contact paper for your desktop. This way you can see the grain of the desk without damaging it.

✨I had an antique table that I did get a glass-man lol I forget what they’re called.. brain fog moment.. grazer? in north Jersey who cut to order and it should never sit directly on the wood. Got little thin round like coasters like size of a dime on each corner. It’s dynamite!! No worries w water /paint /inks or the beverages or glue ! Lol@the “tool” RBM 🥴 Love your vids so much, I’m pretty certain im addicted 🥴. Tried Peaky FOUR times. Always a no go. But… I’m needing a new show so I’m gonna revisit! I was going to suggest the same thing. I have an antique pine table that I use as a desk. I had a custom piece of glass cut to protect the top and it's perfect! You can also buy these tiny little plastic dots to put under the glass to keep it off the wood. Also good. Happy New Year you two!🎉❤

Have Red Bank Mike Use a satin urethane and clear coat the top of your desk, won’t change the colour but will protect the finish❤️

On your beautiful desk ,I would suggest a glass sheet all over . I protected my desk with that and I’m very satisfied; durable and so easy to clean 🧽 👌. Great poncho 🤩! I also am knitting the Corrie In Poncho with my advent yarn held double with a natural suri alpaca . Happy New Year to you both ! 😮you 3 ! 🐶

Happy New Year! I live in South Jersey and I am tired of all the gray weather. Aren’t you? I love what you did with your Advent Yarn! I have seen that poncho in a solid color and really like it but I really love the striping. When do you typically advertise when the advent calendar is available for pre sale? I would love to try it. You might consider just allowing paint to get on your table and just go with it. That way it’s more freeing. After awhile it might look cool. Also, after build up of paint marks, if it starts to become a distraction, you can sand it and/or just paint the top with acrylic paint and put a clear gloss on it and then you can wipe it down. Happy New Year! You should get a piece of clear acrylic for the top of the desk. It would be easy to maintain with no ink/paint stains.

Thanks for recommending Avene - it is the best moisturizer and the only one that effectively resolves flaking from using retin - A. Appreciate the time you put in making your podcasts.

It really is amazing I've used it for years and when I use Retin A there is nothing that nourishes my skin enough also I sometimes get Psoriasis so it helps with that!

Love watching you guys! You are both so funny!! I've been watching since you guys were in the shop ,loved it then also. As an idea for your desk you can get a pretty large baking mat,or sewing mat. It can be used for any craft really. It works very well protecting the table underneath and easy for cleanup also. I use it when I bake my sugar cookies,when I do clay work like just about anything. Not sure of the correct name,but if you search baking mat for rolling out cookies I'm sure it pops up. Happy New Year guys!!! Very healthy safe one!!!❤

Christina, have you considered using colored minwax stains & use a neutral background stain & then use different sized embroidery hoops & make a bunch of overlapping circles then put protective sealant? That way any coffee cup circles will be part of pattern!😂 Love your poncho!❤🎉Happy New Year!

To protect your desk you can get a thick plastic see thru mate. They sell a very nice flexible plastic roll on plastic.

Ok so I just kind of whipped it up I have a bad habit of doing that Let me look though... I took egg whites added cheese and S&P and baked in my silpat liner muffin tins for about 25 min. :)
