With presentations and content like this, RU-vid is doing what television promised us 70 years ago. Yes, Professor, you get credit for this, but think if your professors could have had a part in a TV channel. But we have it now. A good time to be a kid, except for the dire overpopulation.

Find a teacher as such who can teach the professors, and you will have a good instructor.

I'm still confused why can't the O- in the last example attack the Carbon in the Ethyl Iodide? But if I think about it, if you used a base such as a hydroxide to deprotonate an aldehyde, why didn't the hydroxide just attack the carbonyl carbon instead of leading us to this intermediate? Unless of course you meant to say alcohol, but said aldehyde.
