Thanks for the lecture, it was very interesting, the answer to the question is, single covalent bond existing between two non-metals that shares a lone pair of electrons. Hydrogen attains a duplet structure while chlorine attains it's octet structure of stability.

This is very good, this guy did not let me fall asleep like my professor, I really believe that teaching is a separate skill set and most college professors fail epically at this and as a result many students struggle with various subjects. 1. Covalent bond. This is because there is force of attraction between two non metals atom A. Ionic bond is a bond formed when there is a complete transfer of electron from a metal to a non metal B. Single covalent bond is whe two atoms share a common electron

Okay guys the answer for the question is B. Because, Hydrogen and Chlorine are gases and they have a valency of 1. Combining that we can form a single covalent bond between Hydrogen and Chlorine. Thank you very much sir for your help. You are better than our school science teacher because she is quite lacking her knowledge in her subject and speaks half English.I really love your content.❤

The idea of high charge density with the small ions being more stronger due to the close interactions of electrostatic forces but the larger ions having a weaker force in comparison confuses me could anyone explain maybe in visual terms how this is possible as I thought the larger ion having bigger charges, and what I would think larger electrostatic force interactions is wrong
