This performance is incredible. I love it how you can see Tom playing the guitar and Ed getting into the music. This has to be one of the greatest songs... ever.
I've already commented once buuuuut this was the MTV European awards circa November of 2003. I remember watching "live". I even remember that Vin Diesel hosted.
Agreed! What a transition. When you listen later, you can hear it in the background getting progressively clearer with each and every hey boy hey girl section.
@@PetShopMod looking further into it wasnt new year, i remembered it that way lol, those were hazy days though, when Edinburgh put on some great shows in the gardens. Went to an alldayer with Carl Cox there too. it was early 2000's probably 2003/3
The word "immense" does this song no justice. It'll always have a place in my heart no matter what. The fact that it's a collaboration between my favourite electronic dance act and the singer from my favourite rock band seals the deal.
at T in the Park this year i was peaking so hard during this tune, and then they dropped the 'pleaaaaase forgive me' bit and i almost died in happiness
El nombre del cantante es Wayne Coyne (vocalista de The Flaming Lips) y los Chemical Brothers son los 2 q aparecen al principio del video, el guitarrista es de The Flaming Lips.
I was lucky enough to be there in the shadow of Edinburgh castle going totally mental. This song is redolent of ‘Confessions of a Justified Sinner’ by James Hogg. Read it and be astonished.
Please forgive me, I never meant to hurt you❤ Please forgive me, I never meant to hurt you❤ Please forgive me, I never meant to hurt you❤ Please forgive me, I never meant to hurt you❤ please forgive me, I never meant to hurt you❤😢

@@vonWeizhacker69 hi, how to send this .. best by email? is it ok if you give me an email-address, so that i can send you the mp3 as an attachement? i listened now again, it's really good .. and my recording is better in quality, i think. I made the recording from TV over Hifi to PC, as far as i remember, but i didn't put or add any sound editing to it. It's the source from TV purely. EDIT: Jesus, i just saw it's 11 years ago :))
@@vonWeizhacker69 about 8MB, look at here: i.imgur.com/vXg0knZ.jpg EDIT: i'd put the mp3 on WeTransfer, but even there you need an email-address. If you know another possibility, it's ok, but i didn't find one, without putting more effort in searching ..
It was the mtv europe music awards 2003 my friend. From wiki MTV Europ Music Awards 2003 Performances The Chemical Brothers and The Flaming Lips - "The Golden Path" I accept your apology, lol
