certain peels are best done between the months of September - April. Chemical peels are usually perform 8 weeks apart depending on treatment plan every plan vary based on client consultation and results you are trying to achieve.

What skincare lines do you recommend for new estheticians?

There are so many good brands out there. I start my students with skinscriptrx because the brand gives students full access to the website and the line is simple to understand and budget friendly (specially since they are students), I also use Glymed , Hale&Hush and Circadia and show students demonstrations/protocols with them. My advice is do research on brands that you have heard good reputation on and create accounts with them.. follow them on social media, log in to their websites once you have access and check out the education they provide over their brand and products , thats huge for me a brand that educates students and license professional over ingredients protocols etc. 🩷 also don’t feel the needs to carry 5 different lines or only 1 you are also free to choose certain products from different lines that can work well together! Hope this helps

To add to the creators comment, we used Circadia when I was in Esty school. It’s still one of my favorites to thru day and their education is great! I recommend looking into them

Correct too sensitive it’s the thinnest skin on our body.

So aestheticians can do TCA peels? I know for California aesthetician can’t do that

In Texas yes you can use TCA anything under 30%

@@GlamAndBeyond Well then I am going to go to school in Texas, in California you can't. Have to be a nurse to do any medical grade peel and TCA is considered that.

I’ve been thinking about getting this chemical peel and i’ve been informed about some products to avoid using before getting it done such as retinol and salicylic acid but what are others to avoid? Would I still be able to at least normally use a cleanser product like on a daily basis or would I need to avoid using that too? Some of the products I tend to use is a cerave cleanser which is their foaming facial cleanser because I tend to get oily and overall would say I also have dry skin at the same time.

You should be able to still use your regular cleanser,moisturizer and sunscreen prior to and after treatment, but I would recommend following the esthetician (person doing the treatment) specific instructions based on the brand they use 😊

I kinda have been using some other product that contained azelaic acid, clindamycin phosphate and zinc pyrithione, would you say I should stop using that before I get my chemical peel? My esthetician didn’t really mention about those besides the ones I mentioned already which were retinol and salicylic acid.
