Very helpful, gone through several text books, but still this helps lot to understand..

Where do start explain why oxy/alkoxide type cope rearrangements are faster than simple cope reaction. Please also explain the driving force for the classical Claisen reaction (how can it proceed at all, it involves breakdown of aromaticity?)
