my chemotherapy nurse encouraged me with the thought that if the drugs are making you feel awful just imagen what its doing to the cancer! that chemo is kicking the cancer harder than it is kicking you. you got this ❤

Tiff my love, this chemo will be stronger and more powerful than the initial one. Think of it as an army attacking the bad cells. You will feel unwell, but think what it’s doing to the cancer cells. Tiffany seven years ago, when I was undergoing radiation therapy for breast cancer, I decided to get a puppy. I got a beautiful tiny chihuahua. My chihuahua literally saved my life. The unconditional love and happiness she gives me is priceless. In return I spoil her with an abundance of love and care that I can. I think a little dog would be a wonderful addition to you and Matt's lives. I am helping you in my prayers and thoughts. You got this Tiff...❤

My mom always says if you have your health you have everything and to never take it for granted. It’s so incredibly true.

It’s a perfect time for a dog. Maybe not a puppy.. maybe a small little rescue.. You could rescue each other.. something that will lay with you and give you comfort. Dogs are so aware of things.. you’ll see. The depression can be from the chemicals.. it’s not you. The chemo is affecting your emotions. You are as strong as you were yesterday.. YOU GOT THIS !

Please don't be so hard on yourself for feeling sad and upset. You are going through something that is so hard on your body and mind! You will feel better, but it might not be right away. You may also be having some minor PTSD from having to start chemo again. Your body can be triggered by the smells and feelings it went through previously, so don't push yourself too much! You could always find someone like a group or therapist who could help you sort out the feelings you are going through. I know you got this, but having some help can never hurt! Many prayers and so much love to you, Tiff! 💕

Tiff, you are a warrior. You’re going to be tired because your body is in a battle right now. The chemo is a weapon for the cells to kill off the cancer. Same with good nutrition. Imagine your healthy cells marching and attacking all the cancer cells. ❤ So yes, you will be tired and you must rest & exercise and eat well and try to keep a healthy balance. Hi Tiffany, I’m so sorry you’re feeling so terrible. I was surprised to see your actually taking the same chemo I’m currently taking. For short they call it 5FU chemo. You’re not alone beautiful girl. This chemo does make me really tired and nauseous, it also does affect my skin but I’ve definitely had worse chemo’s. You can get through this, you’re strong…just keep reminding yourself of that. My journey has been very long, I’m going on 20yrs. I’ve had multiple pic lines and Hickman’s (which is one they do in the main big vein in your neck and you have to be put to sleep for that one). I had a Hickman for over 10yrs. At my cancer hospital always make the tubes long enough so I can connect/disconnect and flush the lines myself. Maybe something you can ask about if you want to be independent and take care of that yourself so you don’t have to have others do it. I know it can make some uncomfortable. Also you must get a dog Tiffany. It was recommended to me my 2nd year of my journey so I took their advice. I honestly don’t know how I could have went through everything I have if I didn’t have her. She was such a blessing. She knew when I didn’t feel well and loved on me so much. She never left my side when I was completely bedridden 5 yrs. Dogs are amazing. She got me through 15yrs of my journey. I lost her 3yrs ago😢. She was so special I thought I could never get another dog because they would never be as special as her. But now with 3yrs time passed I think I’m ready to bring a new dog into my life. I’ve really struggled not having that companion by my side all the time. Please really tell Matt it’s the best therapy EVER! I’m not 100% certain but it looks like the dog at the hospital was a poodle breed. Poodles are extremely intelligent and very friendly dogs so they make very good therapy dogs. I do believe they are hypoallergenic dogs as well which is a huge plus. Please really consider it, it helped me tremendously and when your body feels the love that dog gives you it helps you get better. Your state of mind, love & joy play a huge part on your body fighting this cancer. Your in my prayers beautiful ❤🙏🏻

I can't help thinking about people who get nowhere near all the support Tiffany is lucky to have 24/7. Going through this on your own must be extremely hard, if not impossible.

The hospital workers appreciate when people don’t wear perfume into the hospital because the smell can cause nausea and headaches in some patients and others.

I was remembering when I first came across your video ! One of your videos kept popping up of you and Matt sitting in the Dr’s office or hospital. I think it was before you started any kind of treatments or maybe it was during the treatments but before your surgery. And I was resisting for so long to start watching your videos because I become attached so easy, I finally broke down and starting following you ,so I’ve been following you a little over a year. It was just before your major surgery .I HAVE FELL SO IN LOVE WITH YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. Last time you were also having pain and bleeding, so you weren’t able to focus only on how the chemo might be making you feel. I wish my dad had received cancer treatment. When he was diagnosed, they told him they couldn't do anything for him, so I understand what you're afraid of. They wouldn't give you treatment unless they believed it would help. That's my take on it. I enjoy watching your RU-vid videos because they make me feel connected to my dad. I started watching you when I was healthy, and I got terribly sick a year ago... Not cancer but something autoimmune that came out of the blue. Going through this has been easier knowing I wasn't alone and remembering your story too. All my worries and petty stresses of the 'before' are now absolutely nothing. Like you, all l I want is my health and that's all I want. I was very successful in my career and if I have to be poor for the rest of my life, or single, I don't really care anymore. If you have your health, you have it all. It's insane how your entire mentality can instantly change. I had always been depressed even when I had everything going for me, and it's paradoxical, but I'm pretty sure I will never get depressed again when I get better. I always fought so hard to not care so much about other people and I failed, and here comes illnes, and BAM, in an instant, the whole world doesn't matter anymore.

Tiffany you are the most selfless person I know, who is going through an intense treatment. Take each day as it comes, rather than look at it as 12 weeks. Be kind to yourself and take care!!💝

Lovely Tiff,...I went through chemo 12 years ago for breast cancer. I didn't tolerate the first treatment well at all. My onco prescribed 2 consecutive days of iv fluids. I would have chemo on Monday and go Th-Fr for the fluids. It was a lifesaver! If you struggle do ask your doctors if it might be good for you. I am sending strong prayers for all of you! You are a warrior woman! God has you in His hands ❤❤

Hey, Tiff! I know how hard this journey is. My husband went through an aggressive form of leukemia and did rounds of chemo and immunotherapy. It was very hard on him and on our family but we all supported him and loved him through everything. Your family, friends and YT friends are that for you and that make all the difference!! My husband lost a lot of weight and we relied on protein shakes as a way to keep the weight on. High calorie, full fat with good ingredients. That helped and perhaps that will help you too.🙏🙏🙏

Get a silk bonnet for your hair. It is gentlier on your hair than putting it up in a hairband. And when the chemo causes you hair to fall out it will contain it so less hair on your pillow which is a distressing sight first thing in the morning

Something that helped me was to give myself permission to feel all the feels for 15 minutes each day - and then turn it off. I think we do ourselves a disservice when we think we have to be "strong". They don't hand out any awards for being strong, so just feel what you feel. Focus on one day at a time, and stop thinking "12 weeks". It'll soon be behind you. Think of how many times we say, "wow, the summer just flew by!". This will, too. Big hugs!! ❤❤❤

Tiffany, it’s understandable that you’re feeling down. When you physically feel unwell that makes it hard to be upbeat. Praying that you have the strength you need to get through this treatment.

The talking to your neighbors and strangers when you're sick thing and not wanting to explain everything to them is so, SO awkward. I am so sorry. I always make something up. And Tiffany, your new haircut looks SO good on you!! And that little dog was adorable! I think it was either a miniature poodle, a toy poodle, a cockapoo (cocker spaniel poodle mix,) or some sort of mini doodle. I have toy poodles and my childhood dog was a miniature poodle. They are the best dogs EVER. They're soo adorable and so sweet and snuggly. I think getting a dog would be an amazing idea! My great aunt has had stage 4 colon cancer for 53 years (since she was 22, and she's 75 now.) She's had 3 or 4 reoccurrences with decades of remission in between, and she's doing really well now, with no evidence of disease. And my friend was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 7 years ago, also in her 20s. She has not done any chemo in four years, and she still has no evidence of disease. I can't imagine going through what you're going through, but just know there is hope. You've got this!

I’m hugging you in my thoughts today. This all sucks and the battle is real, minute by minute and hour by hour you get through the worst of it. Your positivity sets you ahead of this treatment but please be gentle with yourself.

Sadly, if the chemo is strong enough to make you lose your hair…then the chemo will make you feel ill in every other way. 😔 It also affects your mood…you will feel very down and wonder…why am I so low? I have been through it too. But, when the chemo stops your mood and everything else will lift up. This type of chemo is like a cellular knife that is doing an important job. You got this!
