I struggle to see anything of the Sixth Prince in Chen Kun. Weird. No mannerism, no mimics, no lip moves or muscles on the face, no voice.... He should be envious of his characters as they seem to be richer in emotions. In life, Mrs Ni Ni is the same as in the TV show...

You seem to know them well, are you private friends with NINi. I have watched thousands of dramas in my life, and all actors and actresses were at their best, when they portrayed a character close to their own, but Chen Kun has interpreted characters of all types from the boy in The ...Seamstress, MULAN, PAINTED SKIN, The Bend, to Two Phoenixes to perfection. Just another viewpoint. Happy 2024. from Australia

He is an Aquarius sun, his real emotions should be pretty shallow in their expression, anyway. There is no depth of a Scorpio or cancer, for example, nor real passion of an Aries or Leo - this is what you observed. But he is a great psychologist and actor, as you have observed too. Oh, he is also Asian, and to me lacks that freedom of expression that Americans have, for example. Reminds me of a more restricted Soviet era person, actually. Although impressive as prince chu, such a man would leave serous blanks for me personally. There is no true emotional or sensual intensity. But this is somewhat concealed behind the cerebral intensity. Sorry, hard to explain!

@themanifester1807 maybe I've caught it just right. I am a Soviet myself, hence inner masculinity mixed with restricted emotions and childhood trauma creates something very appealing to my heart. Ni Ni's female character combines independence, intellect and innocence... These two together represent such a juicy drama couple.

@@arinayankovskaya1194 I was just commenting under another video that the fact that he has not been married, and no known girlfriends, is an issue of some sort. Either preference for men or a childhood trauma, possibly bc he was raised by women and no good male parental figure present. What are your thoughts on this?

@@arinayankovskaya1194 interestingly, in his interview to GQ (50 Qs, 5 yrs ago), he said that he is a very sensitive person. Perhaps, he is, but just very stoic.
