In my opinion, Lucy and Tim knew they liked each other way before season 5. With that being said. I think Tim really knew Lucy was into him when 1. Lucy invited Tim inside her apt. 2. Lucy says we almost... 3. Tim told her, but we didn’t. 4. when Lucy says if we do this...5. Tim is jumping all in and telling her basically why not let's do this.
True. And Tim realised he had feelings for Lucy after the kiss in her apartment. That look on his face outside her door was almost like these feelings that had been denied/hidden had now come to be the center of his attention and he was actually confronted with how he felt yk
Even before this. Just after Jackson was killed and Lopez was kidnapped Tim told Lucy that she shouldn't be alone and go back to the apartment. Something almost happened back then ❤
Lucy’s been in love with him since S1, to be specific it was after he refused to back down from a violent gang to protect one man. With Tim it was more complicated simply because he was still holding hope for Isabel to come back to him. I don’t think it was a specific moment, she sort of crept up on him because of her kindness and understanding but he still kept her at arms length due to all his emotional baggage. It wasn’t until after Caleb that he started breaking down his walls around her, a part of him knew deep down she was too important to lose. So S3 had this unspoken hint of flirtation that accumulated to him asking her to save him a dance. S4 is when Lucy realises life’s too short and she wants more. It’s after the hug, she got up to go to his bedroom and if Wesley hadn’t called him I’m pretty sure Tim would’ve done the same. But he couldn’t bring himself to take it further because he didn’t want to ruin their friendship, so he starts dating Ashley and encourages her to date Chris. But they’re just distractions, nothing made this more clear than the awkward dinner date, Tim’s fake proposal and Lucy’s heartbroken reaction to it. She knew she was in love with him, she knew she wanted him but he thought they could bury their feelings. That wasn’t until the kiss, it affected Tim to the point he could no longer pretend. So S5 is the accumulation of 4 years of unresolved tension and mutual pining finally reaching the surface. They know they’re in love with each other, even after she went to UC training they still loved each other. I’m actually glad they didn’t cheat on their respective partners at the beginning of S5, that’s not a good foundation for a relationship. They did it the right way, she broke up with Chris and then they took their time with a new relationship. He was willing to take a desk job for her and she cleaned Smitty’s trailer for him! I think S4 and 5 were my favourite Chenford seasons ❤.
@@summerzchild the S6 drama was stupid, if there’s conflict and a break up it should be in regards to Lucy’s wish to be a UC detective and Tim’s trauma from Isabel. That’s realistic and ties in with the characters’ emotional baggage a helluva lot better than some random character we never met before. Fingers crossed they get back together in the first episode of S7 🤞🏽
It's still breaks my heart that she was kind of playing games with him especially when he said it didnt feel like pretend, so he told her to go to UC school. I think that's when it really really hit her.
Tim tried to talk about it in the hotel room in Las Vegas, she wasn’t ready to have the conversation. they tried to have the conversation at her apartment after but Chris was inconveniently bleeding out
