Here I am 10 months later watching your video and GOOD CALL - my Sky signed her and she is a star! Not sure if Coach Spoon had been hired yet when you made this video, but I believe she’s the perfect coach for Chennedy. I think she can help her mature and keep her emotions controlled, at least on the court & in the locker room. Chennedy is one of the most exciting guards in the league. She seems to have formed a good chemistry with our team. I hope she has a long career in Chicago. Thanks for the video!
Her talent definitely deserves a look from teams. I guess Atlanta and LA are bridges burned so options are limited but a team like Chicago, Seattle, Phoenix, or Indiana could take a chance on her. I don’t see a playoff contender taking that risk. And I do wonder about her and coach Reeves working together, Reeves has high expectations and Carter will need to have come a long way to not let her feelings get in the way. I can’t wait to see how things shake out for her, it’s fun to think about. Great video!
Reeves is a great coach and could really help Chennedy but that’s only if she listens. I do agree that no teams that have a chance of going far in the playoffs would pick up Chennedy
@@QuitaLovesSports very well said. If she wants to play she will rise to the expectations. I like to think she has matured and learned from her mistakes and deserves another shot especially if she has demonstrated good teamwork overseas since her absence from the W
No one questions her talent, it's her attitude that pauses management. I didn't hear anything on this video that would change their mind. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance; Chennedy got hers! I remember the 1st time I saw her as a Freshman Aggie. During the game, she ran into trouble & when Coach Blair went to take her out he said, "Trust me." She argued, loudly to Coach to "Trust me!" (PS Coach Blair left her in which surprised me.) Freshman guard arguing with the coach from the court. Told me all I needed to know & since then, I've haven't seen any reason to change my mind. Who would want to go to work every day & deal with her attitude? It's not like there isn't any other quality women ballers out there. Carter, unfortunately & sadly is one who's an addition by subtraction.
@@QuitaLovesSports I like the positive outllook you have; you see the good in people. I have "grouchy old-man-itis." Wishing you continued success for your channel.
I like that you are so optimistic but unfortunately there are so many talented, entertaining players in the W, I can’t really see anyone taking a risk on her. Especially since 1. Roster spots are LIMITED, 2. Cap space is LIMITED, and she won’t be on her rookie contract next year and 3.the 2024 draft is full of talented guards… I guess someone could invite her to camp to see… I can see that happening. I hope she gets a chance too, but I’m not as optimistic!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yes lots of guards will be in the draft but they will require a lot of development, Chennedy would be ready to go. I think she will be invited to a camp and will be so impressive that she gets a spot on a team. But we will see… As you said roster spots are limited so we don’t totally if a team really wants to risk a spot for her
sadly, i jus started watching bb last fall, so idk her. but everyone grows, im sure she has matured ! she sounds very useful, i hope she gets a 2nd chance ‼️
No, she should go to Indiana Fever!!!!! Wheeler and Mitchell can both go. Today you need guards who also rebound. Chennedy can take them to next level, especially with a healthy NaLyssa Smith. She deserves to be in the league and I'm here for it. She was suppressing talent in LA, as if she was dribbling around eggs. Give her another opportunity to excel. By now there should be maturity in how to be a team player, she should approach the game as a business. She has exceptional talent, and for her product to be seen, she'll need to know how to manage her emotions in Mutiple relationships. I never believed everything that happened to her was her fault, but I do believe the purpose in it can make her a much better player and person.
I do want Chennedy to get another shot to play in the W. I never was a fan of her game because she dribbles and hold onto the ball to much. In addition her shot selection was not good at all. She has the talent but needs a coach who could bring out the best in her. I love your channel and how you broke down the game. Keep up the great work.
Hello Quita, I hope all is well. I'm not surprised at all by this turn of events. I don't know if I said on your channel, but I did say Chenndy Carter would return to the WNBA. I also believe that with Jewell Lloyd approaching the end of her contract in Seattle, Chicago will rush to her and Chenndy Carter. Sadly, Courtney Williams might leave, or Dana Evans would be let go because of money, or maybe not. Chicago would take this chance because Carter has matured, and most importantly, if a team takes a chance on Kyrie Irving, I don't see why Carter wouldn't be considered. Lastly, Teresa Weatherspoon can make this team tick incredibly well. She is currently an associate coach with the Pelicans, though I hear she is leaving.
I could totally see teresa weatherspoon as the coach for the Sky. Yes I do think that if Chennedy comes on board at the very least Courtney Williams will leave the Sky. I would hope Dana would stay on the team
She has been a hot head and totally selfish player since Texas A&M. I don’t know how she could prove herself without some employment parameters in place. She is a baller but you can’t just be a baller without a team
Loved watching her at A&M. The personality, talent, and attitude she played with were so much like watching Johnny Manzel play women's basketball. Hope it ends a little better.
I would love to see her back in the W! Glad to know she went overseas. Can you do a video on Tia Cooper? Heard she wants back in the league. I wonder if she played overseas while she been out the league.
I’m guessing you forgot Courtney Williams is on their team and they need a new head coach because their coach is going to be an assistant coach in the NBA
I didn’t forget about Courtney Williams, she is a free agent next season so my assumption is that she won’t come back to the Sky. Yea I know about James Wade leaving, I actually made a video about it. The Sky really need to get a strong coach in there. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bEzT87AvZqg.html But I guess I could have stated all of that in the video. Thanks for the comment
This is why the WNBA will never succeed it doesn’t want to have a superstar. All the superstars they had were lackluster and boring… When these ladies come out of college, they have a lot of fanfare and goodwill, but when they get into the league these women sit on the bench for two years. When Arike Ogunbowale came into the league, she had to sit for three years after hitting a game-winning shot to win the NCAA title. And they keep holding on to all the bad apples.
I agree with your general point that exciting players need to play and not play minimal minutes. My pet peeve this year is that Haley Jones is not getting enough playing team. Yes, I realize Haley has to work on her game, namely her shooting.
Kennedy needs a mentor as if she is going to return. Someone who can talk candidly to her and help her be the kind of teammate she’ll have to be. Boy, Derrick Fisher had some job, dealing with Kennedy and Liz .
Love it or hate it the WNBA is a veteran league so most of the time the college player who was on fire in college will most likely ride the bench, of course there are exceptions but that’s mainly what happens. I wish this wasn’t the case because the WNBA looses perspective fans because their player barely gets playing time or is bounced out of the league
@keykenreviewz umm the W ain’t college! The W exposes these college players who think they hoopin til they get to the big leagues. And the W has had plenty of superstars,(Diana just hit the 10,000 point mark, Cynthia,Swoops, McCray rip, Catchings, Pinachero(my fav player), Stewie, Bird,Parker,Lisa, Griner, etc.The game isn’t boring either that’s ludicrous to say, them ladies hoopin on god and play their hearts out because that’s how competitive it is and True love for the game.
I think the league can use her. We give chances everyday but she has to be willing to take the constructive advice from her peers to make the women’s league look what it always has been for , the fans. As someone who has supported women’s basketball for years, I’d prefer seeing the I dropped from the team. You’re performing for everyone across the world and being a model to little girls. Showcase your talent because we see you! Leave all the other personal things off the floor. Bring her back!
My exact sentiments… plus I don’t think she would be a good fit for the team since Cheryl has high standards and probably will not tolerate players with a history of behavioral issues.
Isn't Chenndy Carter the one that got that la sparks center (mixed girl from Australia) to quit the wnba? That being said, I think her being on the minnesota lynx makes them highly competitive and a potential dark horse in the playoff picture! Just dont let her rub lindsay allen the wrong way or she's OUTTA there! 3rd team bridges burnt!!!
Do/did you like Liz? I know she was a "mess" with her being "hot and cold," her on and off court struggles, but I loved her. I would love to see her come back. Can you imagine? The battles Brittney and her would have-again! I read once (and maybe this was more gossipy than anything of substance) that Chennedy was one big reason Liz left. I doubt it but just wondering what you thought? Also, what happened to Tina Charles? Is she playing overseas? I hope teams give Chennedy a chance.
I grew to really like Liz as a player but she just brought way too much drama for teams to deal with. If she was a younger player maybe she would get a bit more grace but I think her basketball career is over. It’s a shame because she could have had a very long WNBA career. No I don’t think Chennedy was a major part in Liz leaving the Sparks Tina Charles got a contract divorce last year with phoenix. Not sure if another team will snag her up especially since she is an older player. But I guess you never really know what will happen
@@QuitaLovesSports I think Liz could've had a nice long career. She was dominant in the post, and she could take the defense out with her shooting. Wasn't a bad passer. Not great but good enough. The thing is, I saw with several of her teams, she wanted the ball ALL the time. Even when she wasn't scoring well, and other players were shooting well. She wanted a lot of attention. I think you're right. I know she's playing for some team overseas, but I seriously doubt if any WNBA team will give her a chance, given her shenanigans. With the Sparks, I think the other players (from what I read) had just had enough. It wasn't Chennedy. It was Liz. But I bet they didn't expect her to just walk out like that. That was really an extreme action. Great video. Oh, I finally saw that game with FIBAU19 team with the win over Spain. That was such a great game. And that court! Amazing!
Your outros are too long I hear you say common outro stuff like leave a comment below which makes me think your winding down but then you keep taking for another 2 minutes. Enjoying your videos otherwise no offence intended
@@QuitaLovesSports I am just speaking as a basketball 🏀 Fan Candace is injury so the aces need all the help with scoring & so on & so frouth and aja & kelesy need some rest sometimes ijs lol
@@bencromwell707yea I just don’t know if Chennedy would be fine with only playing 12 minutes a game. And that’s what she would be playing in Vegas with their current lineup. But on a purely basketball perspective, it would be fun to watch her light up teams coming off the bench
All the Aces can take on at this point is Rookies, Role players, and tall people lol. Anybody going there has to understand that they won't be a star there.... not during this era. Candice was great for marketing, but the Aces never needed her either. Kiah Stokes been solid.
@@RCSNTV I could be wrong but I would say no. Jewel is a player that really controls pace for the Storm, and that’s the role that Chennedy would play for whatever team she goes to
@@QuitaLovesSports Shed come off bench & be able to do that for second unit her & horston in the second unit would go crazy & it’ll give jewel some time to rest as she doesn’t get much time to do that really lol
Very lazy reporting. The WNBA does not have 4 rounds in their draft. Chennedy was the 4th pick of the 1st round. Please do better or find topics you actually know about.
If you were to listen 3:04 you can hear me say “4th overall” so clearly I do know what I am talking about. I just misspoke at the top and corrected myself later on. Sorry for not being perfect
