Rather long clip of Cher singing from the Nitty Gritty Hour, her first prime time show. She looks beautiful though! And you also see a rare clip of the Box office flop Chastity that she did just two years prior.
I've loved this song for over 50 years. Heard Cher sing it a few years ago on RU-vid and it knocked my shoes off. Listened to it almost daily, then it disappeared. Just found it again and it once more knocked me over. It's truely the BEST rendition ever. Thanks to who ever got it back on RU-vid
What a moving, beautiful and soulful redition of Danny Boy! I never knew Cher sung this but her vocals and emotions are pure angelic....it's a beautiful song and Cher makes it her own!
She's still the same Cher. she didn't have that much surgery. it's the fact that people compare her at 21 to her at 69... there's almost a 50 year gap in the two faces people like to compare. watch the video of her song "I walk alone" it's her through her entire life. the transition is mostly due to her aging.
WOW! CHER ! A Februar this year my daughter is born, and I singing this song.for her. Thanks NoAngel2901 for your video, that brought me a reminder so beautiful, that touched my heart. Thanks.
Omar Ben the 90s were 20 years ago. she got older. her face got older, it's inevitable. at least i haven't seen a 70 year old who looks as good as she does ever in my life
#1 first nation....Smart, Good Looking and Talented... Some much too look at, listen to and enjoy. Close the smoke hole when it is cold. Meguish Love You!
This is my frustration, watching her in Vegas. She could be this Good, ALL of the time. Love you Cher....but you know the truth: It can Always be, this Good.
They did this song on the first live album that she & Sonny did it was a great version.... unfortunately they never put either of their two live albums on cd...
Her imperfections (i.e. teeth) are what made her so beautiful. She never should have had the surgeries she had because she would have aged beautifully. Just the same, she has a great voice.
Well Danny boy was written by an English writer, but as it has the same tune as 'Londonderry air',Ireland has pretty much taken the song as their own,and it was always my dads fav song,so out of respect i believe i should play it at an irish funeral, whether the song may be heritagly Irish or not
Sorry Folks but according to Chers Biography she is Armenia and Cherokee, the french side is from her sisters father who adopted Cher when he married Georgbia Holt.Cher was and is still a beautiful women, one of a kind.I remember watching her on the Sonny & Cher Show and even The Cher Show just to see what she would wear next....A true legend, there will never be anyone like Cher ever.
1. Her Dad is 100% Armenian, so she is 50% Armenian! 2. Her Mom is of Cherokee descent. But if you look at her appearence, it's gotta be a long, long time ago.
Well, that's true. But I would think that her overall appereance comes from her Dad; it's the Armenian side showing. Becauce look at her Mom; she doesn't look anything like Indian.
2:01 I actually like it _best_ playing at 1.25 speed. (try it by clicking gear wheel and selecting speed) At 1.5 speed, it's becomes 'groovy', lol. Speed 2 is too fast.
lets face it shes no Jackie Wilson tom jones etc but I love everything about this shes so real her puts everything into like the simplicity of the set her just sitting there singing
when Cher & Sunny were discovered they probably wanted to change her style of fashion and they probably would not of succeeded if they had not brought her "Bob Mackie" who showed her how fashion would just enhance her beauty, Mackie still designs her wardrobe.
But there's more than just Cherokee and Armenian- she has French and English, as well. Besides, with all her plastic surgery, who remembers what Nature meant her to look like? A friend of mine is half Choctaw half Irish- she has Indian features but is very fair skinned with green eyes and blonde hair.
I don't dislike Cher. As a matter of fact, she impresses me overall. This, however, is the most horrendous rendition of "Danny Boy" that I have ever encountered. If she is/was too self-involved to learn of the significance of this song, could she not have hired someone to instruct her on the meaning? Come one, Cher, some songs aren't just a platform on which to show off your face.
