still got that movie - still watching it -still loving it it´s 2024 - who else? Me soon being 62 - esp. because of the short sequence of a live concert of Angel - great filmset with jodie foster and Cherry Curry, great music
I really liked the movie. I remember when it came out in 1980, yet filmed in 1979. It's a pretty accurate portrayal of dysfunctional teens back then. Great performances by the cast, especially Jodie Foster. Cherie did a great job in her first acting role, being a rock star probably helped her bring out the self destructive Annie character. Oh and the soundtrack is pretty good too. Loved all the vintage products scattered throughout the film and those KISS solo albums on the wall. Takes me right back to 1979.
This reminds me of when my son died of a overdose. His friends were his family, he was a bit like Annie. We still expect to see him, can't believe he's gone. His friends sometimes I believe are grieving harder than me.
This is why she's my favourite, how professional and mature. The way she talked about dope use and played off so well how she wouldn't do that stuff. I know she's a good actor but I genuinely saw In her eyes briefly think about her past, by 16 she had lived the best and worst side of Rock and Roll and chose very soon after that this here is who she truly is, a Kind, Loving, Creative Girl who probably needed her Mother during her Runnaways Era. Long Live the Queen of Noise!!
I think "Foxes" was filmed after Cherie had been kidnapped by a serial killer. She's very put together to have been through everything she had, and still hold it together.
I enjoyed listening to Cherie Currie and she hit it right on the nail about that film and how sad what some of the kids do. Cherie did an excellent job in that movie Foxes and she is so right it is a sad film but with some very important lessons that it's not worth it to get involved in that kind of lifestyle. I hope the film helped some of the kids too. Bobbie however seems like a nice person but not that good on interviews she wasn't prepared at all.
I've always had it up for Cherie myself so to speak since the mid 70s. That's why it was so hard to get through this movie when it first came out, and still is, not to give anything away.
@@RockNRoller66 iV'e aLwAyS hAd iT uP fOr cHeRiE. What a really gross way to describe a crush or fondness for someone. No one wants to hear about your bon€r dude.
It's good that she's not bad mouthing her parents, particularly her mom but I think her mom was a bit negligent in allowing her 15 year old daughter to tour in a rock band with someone like Fowley. As we learn later, a lot of things happened to those young girls that shouldn't have. Drugs, unwanted sex and an abusive nut jub like Fowley.
Fowley never went on tour with The Runaways..but he hired road managers who sexually abused them instead. Fowley assured ALL of the parents that the girls would be in good hands and well watched. Yeah right..NOT!!
Cheries mom moved to a different country by the time she joined the Runaways, and her dad was living in a different state, which he was obligated to move back down with Cherie and her twin sister but still did
Cherie was so beautiful with her shag haircut. I just wish she had her feathers cut shorter. I remember the film. I was a senior in college at the time.
I watched Foxes once and felt it was powerful with Jodie Foster at her best but this movie got deeply disturbing at the end I couldn't believe what I saw especially with the closing narration in that cemetery felt like communication with the dead
The movie is hard to watch ... the script is strange. The girls speak very fast and mumble throughout ... Sally Kellerman sounds drunk ... The film quality is skewed ... Good Luck
