Cherish is an American R&B music group consisting of sisters Fallon, Felisha, Farrah, and Neosha King. Originating from Atlanta Ga, both their parents are musicians, their father having been in the band *Professions of Sounds* who frequently toured with acts like The Emotions and Earth, Wind & Fire. The group was signed to Capitol Records and Sho'nuff Records. They experienced chart success with the hit song "Do It to It". The group first rose to fame in 2003, when they were featured on the single "In Love wit Chu", by Da Brat. They quickly followed up with their official debut single, "Miss P.", which had minor success on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in the US. After the *failure* of the single, *their initial debut album was cancelled.* However, they continued recording music, and lent their vocals to the soundtrack for *The Powerpuff Girls* Movie. In 2006, they released their second official single, "Do It to It". The single was met with critical and commercial success, and was followed up with their debut album, Unappreciated, which reached number 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in the US. 2008 saw the release of the group's second studio album, The Truth. The album didn't fare as well as their previous, failing to reach the top 20 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It was, however, preceded by the release of their second Top 40 hit, "Killa", which peaked at number 39 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It's amazing how this song ("do it to it ") written & performed by Cherish & Sean P is now a hit with a DJ named Acraze he's had phenomenal success with a song that these girls Cherish & Sean P wrote how is that even possible ????🤔
It’s pretty routine for older songs to make a “comeback” 10-20 years after original release. Especially if it was used in a popular movie, or TV commercial, or got remixed .
Them attitudes on them twins is something serious and when you got a nasty attitude you ain’t gone go too far I really hate we have all this social media and reality Tv now because up until I saw they attitudes and how they talk to ppl I was a huge fan and always wondered what happened to them
#ItsAllGood... Every decade of music, was poppin for its time... There was an appreciation and still is an appreciation for the music and its artist(s) from the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s.... They all brought music that was unique, different and that defined our phenomenal culture...The early 2000’s to 2006 was ATL’s time to rock the music industry ... “Lean wit it Rock wit it”..... So appreciate the artists and what they contributed...Its your choice to do so or not...Music Today has certainly changed!!!✌🏾... P.S... Too Much Drama on Encore... they need to learn how to coexist and build upon each other’s talents collectively.....
@Therealmoseslupai MID 2000s would be 2040-60 (approximately). Early 2000s in common english means the first decade (2000-09) just as “early 1900s” means the first decade 1900-09. And “mid 1900s” means circa 1940-60.

No Cherish wasn’t the biggest group for those of you coming here from the encore but stop the cap! This song alone inspired Monica’s “Everytime the beat drop” and was a huge part of the snap movement that took off in the south so they def had an era. If your honest 702 was all Meelah much like 3LW was Adrienne and Naturi because Kiely can’t sing to save her life and clearly without their leads these girls are deers in headlight! Enjoy the shenanigans on the show but don’t come on here tryna downplay these girls.
Facts.. and honestly Cherish was very successful for their time period. Girl groups were dead in 2006-2008 with the exception of Danity Kane who were fortunate enough to have Diddy & Making The Band on their sides... and Cherish’s debut album went gold.
They are very much talented I give them that but however a nasty attitude with talent is just a waste of your talent, in the music business everybody gone get they 15 minutes to shine. But when you rude to people and you nasty and can’t get along with others or work well with others, you shorten your time and when it’s over and you not on them charts no more ain’t nobody gone be Checking for you like that. There is absolutely no reason to be acting the way they did on that Encore show and actually if you just check into them a little deeper you’ll see that the older sisters got the side of them that we’re seeing on tv. I don’t think I have ever heard of people who were in the entertainment business around the 90s - early 00s be so disrespectful to some of the artists who were doing it before their time. But some people today act like they don’t know respect or who they were before they struck fame and that ends up being their demise, then they be wondering why nobody’s checking for them….. and the twin Felisha said that out her own mouth that nobody was checking for them after cherish and I see why.
What in the Tina Knowles fashions are they wearing??? Hahaha it's so funny when we flashback!! 😍😍 I guess fashions are pointless when the TALENT is what really matters. And these 4 sisters definitely have it. 💯💯💯💯
@@riveraspen2745 Falon and Felicia which ever one you are please go write some songs. I understand you are getting a little fame from the show but go sit down and write a song
I remember when this song came out. They played it Ata middle school dance. But if you forced me to answer I would have said Cherish was one girl. Had no idea they were a group.
Ok I was thinking the same. On Encore, they were telling everyone how to do their vocals but they are depending on a background track. I barely heard them. Ciara who is a hard-core dancer at least for the most part, sings live while she dances and never sounds that tired, even with background.
They weren’t as successful as the other groups bcos by the time they came out the market was saturated with so many similar sounding acts plus the industry was switching to the light skin girl looks.
Is it just me, or do I hear some whispering going on in the background? Oh I’m asking for a friend so please don’t come for me, come for her 😊 *eats popcorn as I wait for clarification*
"I know y'all know how to bounce" That's about the only thing this new gens can do without fkn it up. Great performance. Does anyone know if this was recent or just a new upload? They all still look young as hell!!
I thought it was pretty good considering type of energy they gave and I used to love this song, sadly I remembered Danity Kane before I remembered them...and I didn't even really like Danity Kane like that lol now it's easy to see how i was basic growing up lol I was BLESSED that my momma let me listen to the radio tho in my childhood mess defense😂😂
