The opening shot was masterclass. Fit perfectly with the narration. Home run Randy. Great series. Thanks so much for including us in so many of your journeys while in the Smokies. We are grateful for your friendship and being able to contribute in your process.
I live in Denmark, Europe bur love western North Carolina and have visited so far 18 times. 9 of these included Cherokee and Bryson City with three tours on the railroad. Loved your video.
The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad has some great operations here like many other heritage railroads, they have some amazing locomotives like their Great Smoky Mountains Railroad 1702 (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in September 1942). I would like to visit here soon.
RANDY !!! These videos you have so masterly done of the Smoky's,, I am adding these in my library for future planning trips. I'm so glad you met the SMF as Eric is the local best of the area... God bless my friend....
My family and I always drive to North Georgia, Tennessee or North Carolina every summer. We did Brevard and Pigeon Forge last year, but we want to do Brevard again and a second North Carolina city. Bryson city/Cherokee might be it. Thank you so much for the video.
My mom was born at Smokemont, NC..it's inside the park coming from Cherokee. Mu grandpa blasted the roads through the park. My great grandpa preached at the little church in the park and he worked at Mingus Mill. I have lots of history there.
Wow! This was absolutely beautiful. You do great work, Randy. I love finding the older videos, that I never viewed. Wonderful to see Bella in the old videos too, keeps her with us. 🐾🐾. Love sweet Bailey too!
So so beautiful; rivers everywhere-you covered more than anyone could do on one trip-I didnt get to go to NC and ride the train so this blessed us so much-we love you Bella Mike and Jana, TX
Randy and Bella, you are wonderful. It is such a beautiful place, like Heaven. Hard to believe it really exist in the US. I admire you and don't know how you prepare such a presentation. Where do you take that fantastic knowledge. You are absolutely amazing me every time. Randy, how do you film from above while you drive or in a boat or train? Give a big hug to Bella from me. She was a super player on this trip. ❤
Thankyou for the nice words ..Yea I don't do the drone and on train footage while I'm on a train, they are done on different days, but yea it does take a lot of planning and a whole lot of editing
Great Video, I live in between Bryson City & Cherokee. I have lived here all my life, I work at the casino. You detailed alot in a short time, of some of the prettiest places in the Southeast. Great Job!
Been rafting on the Nantahala. It's a great trip for beginners and those who just want to be on the river and not get thrown out of the raft. A friend of mine ended up becoming a rafting guide because of our trip there.
Really enjoyed this video! I've been to most of these areas many times, but several I have never seen. Thank you so much, for such a great detailed ride along!! Top notch❤
Great information! I love that area as it’s fairly close to me in SC. I have been to Cherokee but did not know about a lot of if. Went to museum and village!
What a wonderful video. Can’t wait to take the train. My husband loves steam trains and we are both looking forward to the trip. We should be in the area the last of September or the first week of October. Hi to you and Bella.
Wow, you do a great job on your films. I'm originally from the Tampa area but now live in St. Augustine. I shared this video on my Facebook page. I will share others.
So great to hear you’re coming to Wisconsin! When you’re in Milwaukee, let us know and we’ll treat you to a meal and beverage of your choice! We live 10 minutes from downtown. And when you do your segments, make sure to highlight the following Wisconsin traditions: (1) The Friday Fish Fry; (2) The Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet cocktail; (3) Spotted Cow beer - sold only in Wisconsin by New Glarus Brewing Company; (4) our amazing array of Wisconsin cheeses; and of course, when in Green Bay, (5) the Lambeau Leap and (6) the Cheesehead hat! Looking forward to your visit! 😃👍
Check out viking mountain on viking mountain trail in greenville, tennessee. They tried building a ski resort up there in the late seventies. They had famous people and even astronauts go. I live there as a small child in 1985.
Really enjoy your videos!!! Keep up the great content👍suggestion on the pronunciation of Appalachian is "App-a-latch-in" At least that's what we say around here... "since a night club was a stick" 😉
Greetings from Ft Bragg, NC! Did you board your little dog at the place you mentioned? I'd like to hear some reviews before we board ours while we ride the train. Good job with your video as always!
I have been on the smokey mountain railroad a few times. Word to the wise...don't spend the money on the fancy seats/rail car. If you want A/C at least go for that, but the open air cars are much cheaper, and a more immersive ride.
Did I miss it ? You did not mention Joey's Pancake House in Maggie Valley. If you're eating breakfast in Maggie Valley you're eating at Joey's Pancake House. Wonderful food and service. It's been a landmark for over 50 years.
Hey, you forgot Lake Junaluska at the end of Maggie Valley. You can’t miss it is a humongous lake. The Methodist churches, history is all around the lake and a historic buildings and museums
Also, you cannot forget to mention DARNELL FARMS next time! It is an AWESOME riverside farm in Bryson City. Fruit flavored soft serve cups there! Also a TON of local goods.
I was born n raised in Port Tampa City... one of the Class of 74 just moved to Bryson City and told me about it on Sunday... I live in Murphy now... Great Video Take care of you n Bella

Yea, I had waited for them to make 2 milkshakes, cause I guess they made a mistake with the first one, and then to find out they don't take cash. There was just a little sign on the register
