Ok, I can see why you are frustrated, but I don't think you're being fair. This show wasn't queerbaiting at all. It is clear as day that Kurosawa and Adachi are in a ROMANTIC relationship, the show is in the BL genre. I think it was just cut out because it suits the vibe of the show more. If you want a kiss there are plenty of other lgbt tv productions to go watch.
@@klararosengren5314 It's fine if they never kissed but don't make them attempt kissing multiple times and builds audience's expectations. This also applies to couples in straight romance drama but it's even more cruel when you do this to lgbt audience. I just don't get why they would tease a kiss and not give it because as a viewer I feel played.
@@PastelNuages Same. The first kiss is also very important to the story since it's about cherishing first times and taking things step by step. It signifies the relationship upgrade between Kurosawa and Adachi so it really doesn't make sense that it's not included.
@@christiepopify I know right !? Tbh I didn't see any progress between them at the end of the series. Atleast they should've made special episode or another season where they show the development of their relationship. The series was really good and had more potential. I know some scenes can make the actors uncomfortable but then atleast show some fluff 😭
I search for this video just to see the comment. I am glad that i am not the only one who is sad that they dont have kiss scene :"). Meanwhile side couple have two scene
It's so sad that we didn't get an actual on-screen kiss :[ But they're still one of my fav bl couples ever! I really hope we will get a second season..🥺❤
Then, watch some western gay series if you're that horny. This BL is not some kind of hollywood where they show lustful scenes. This is a wholesome and healthy BL. There's not really awkward interactions. Both leads show intimacy even without kissing. They still capture the essence of real love, a healthy loving relationship.
@@thalia102 go bother someone else, fujoshi. "Essence of true love" you really wrote this BS? I don't know you at all, but just with this piece of info, I am 100% SURE that you've NEVER had a real relationship with a real living being in your life, so stop bothering people that are TIRED of this prude baiting disguised as "BL". Go meet someone real instead of thinking that this is, remotely, anything like "real love" or "healthy relationship".
@@luizpaulonm exactly (although I don't think fujoshi is an insult) but I'm tired of bl fans always implying that shows without kisses are better than shows with because they are 'wholesome' and 'pure'. It rly comes across as homophobic. Not wanting to accept the full reality of what a queer relationship will contain. American shows used to do this in the early 2000s (and some still do) where they would have gay men who would never be in a relationship and gay couples who wouldn't kiss. That was rightly criticised and I think it's not too much to ask that bls (which are in the romance genre) have at least one kiss. That's like one of the rules of the romance genre. A romance, a kiss, a happy ending. This 'pure' and 'wholesome' love thing is bs.
Not usally a fan of BL's but this one convinced me. Is full of emotion, character growth, the building up a relationship. Not any toxic behavouirs just a magic love story. Kurasawa is really the perfect man. I liked the way he always encouraged Adachi to do better.
@@masudkarim9167 I watched it on dramacool but you gotta deal with a bunch of popups when you first click on it, but if you have a good ad blocker it's not bad. it's on dailymotion too but they can be pretty rough with the ad breaks. like every 5 mins it stops and does 2mins of ads.
Actually I read somewhere they didn't have a proper scene is because one of the main leads agency forbade it,like even though they let him act in a bl they specifically said no kiss...so even if we have S2 we won't get it 🤧
That’s something very strange about Asian BL dramas. They go through all this trouble but they are never allowed to actually do any kissing scenes and the few times they do it’s like dead fish kissing.
u can tell that they had a great chemisty filming the whole series and the scene here still gives u the chills without seeing the kiss ...... but still what a way to tease us and steal it from us :D hope we can see at least 1 in the movie even if is just a peck on the lips
Well, there r 2 kiss scenes in the movie:))) hope u could watch the movie soon. Btw, dvd and blu-ray will be released this november so don't worry if u can't go to the cinema to watch the movie :Đ
Sometimes good things don't need better things to be appreciated This is what happened here You don't need a kiss or steamy scene when you have such a great pair with awesome chemistry ❤️❤️❤️
With all the almost kiss scene they made where specially just a breath away, like the third ep, they're so freaking close and they probably took shots so many times...they definitely kiss at some point wether it's just a small brush unintentionally.... Lol. They kissed. You won't change m mind.
Ok I'm really confusion, tsuge I mean the side couple also kissed- BUT THE MAIN couple didnt, I feel like they were not comfortable kissing or something but wotever the reason is the whole bl was really sweet and I loved it❣
Tsuge and Minato have two kiss scenes :"))) *but no hate, i like the side couple as well. Maybe u are right, maybe they do not comfortable. But its okay, i like the movie
As the mangaka said on the interview. The closed elevator shall reopen.... 🥺🤭🤭🥰🥰 She's teasing about the kissing scene...ugh cant wait for the movie...❤️❤️
@@r.g.nonetheless5663 That's a relief to hear! I will cherish any crumbs from them. Even tho I'm still hoping for the elevator scene to be opened..😭😭🥺🥺
@@tokkijangnim1544 so do I. They deserve a kiss. But even if they don't, hopefully in the movie they end getting married since it's seems the manga will end that way.
My Gods, I love this comment section thou The BL community is just on another level man😂 Not gonna lie, I clicked on this video coz I wanted to see the comments and people's thoughts on the kiss, or lack there of I actually didn't even realize that they never kissed. I mean, the chemistry and the character work was just so great that I already felt satisfied by the end of it all. Watching Adachi come into his own and overcome his insecurity was beautiful, and Kurosawa being Kurosawa was just too good. Till this day the word Hokuro lives rent free in my head If it wasn't for Gaya sa Pelikula (Like in the movies), Cherry Magic would be my number one PS. I prefer the original title 30 Years Of Virginity Can Make You a Magic User, the OG title is the reason I watched the show in the first place cause I just had to see what kind of story they could possibly tell with such a premise.
There is a movie version also , where we can see their wedding, but still "NO KISS" .😂 But the movie is so good , i got butterflies during their wedding scene❤.
This is what I like about Cherry Magic, not glorious kiss scene, sex scene or flirty scenes till the end, I love this softness, I feel mushy, its like between Shounen & BL hohoho KuroAchi saikooooo ikuzzoooo
HAAHHAHAAAAAAA🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣that creature at the end...hhahaaa..well my sentiment exactly......they didnt kiss.....i didnt see it.......i reaaaalllyyy feel like screaming......
I've just finished the series and started digging for an episode I missed the main couple kiss....then I came here to confirm my suspicion....and damn never been as disappointed in being correct 😒😒
