Cherry Whiskey Smash

This is how to make a Cherry Whiskey Smash
Ingredients:
2 oz Crown Royal Whiskey
1 oz Trader Vic’s Amaretto
3 fresh pitted cherries
.5 oz Simple Syrup
.5 oz Lemon Juice
Garnish with fresh cherries
Directions:
Put ingredients into a shaker glass and Muddle. Add ice and shake to chill. Add fresh ice to a rocks glass and double strain. Garnish with cherries.

Is this traditionally Crown Royal, or is this just a personal choice. I ask because the flavor of Crown is so specific.

I have made it with Crown, with Jamesons and with Buffalo Trace. I like it with any of them. It really is a matter of what kind of flavor profile you like. The biggest variation is the simple syrup and that can flucuate based on your cherries. Enjoy!
