What a good bird! Seems fairly quiet...at least compared to my Pedro. I have had him since 1987, which makes him fairly old but he was loud and obnoxious all his life, and he loves to destroy toys and pretty much anything else. I tear up sheets into long strands and he "knits" them into strange shapes. He wont let me touch him, never did but he loves to come flying out his cage onto me. The problem is he bites me when I go to put him back, otherwise he will sit and poop on me all day if he could
My Cherryhead Pedro is 31 yrs old and still acts same as he did when he was young. He's a mean bastard to everyone but my wife. He loves her, yet I'm the one who feeds and cleans up after him..go figure? He talked a little and would sing Flintstones, Yabba Dabba Do, back in the 90's but not anything but loud screams since than. He seems happy and eats like a pig. He loves cooked meat, and he screams at dinner for his.steak,pork,lamb,..he even likes chicken and loves scrambled eggs! . He's been eating his food and table food since he was a baby. I hear they live to be about 30, hopefully he'll be around a few more years. I have been lucky my pets have all lived long lives.
abfabinri how is your Pedro?? They live up too 50 plus my papa has one name chico he is 47 and more playful am then ever.. It also helps to get them a mate we got Chico one when I was a kid and they are soo sweet together
I have a Mitred Conure. She is a bit nippy. She is 17 now and my baby. She looks kind of like your boy. My bird is just red over her beak and some spots of red neat her wings and eyes and ankles. Clovis is beautiful. Lol mine laughs when you laugh.and she says “what are you doing “👏👍🦜
Clovis is so cute and funny when he talks, lol. I want to make a couple toys like that for Popeye to forage too...can't believe I didn't think of that before, lol.
I got mine at Petco, but it was a rarity (only time they ever got one and probably ever will). Maybe search for some breeders or pet finder (adoption website). Good luck!
