Thanks for uploading this. Just had my test in Chertsey at 8:57am and passed with only 2 minors. This video really helped a lot. For anyone else that has a test and is stressed, don’t worry. I thought I had failed but turns out I didn’t. Good luck to all 👍
Hi there Hasin Many congratulations on passing your driving test!! It's a good feeling right?? You're welcome and I'm glad that my video helped you out. Please subscribe to my channel as it will really help my content reach more people with driving tests coming up and I'd really appreciate it. You can now watch my videos without having to stress about taking a driving test... lol All the best!!
@@Yt-uc7dk Hi there. Thanks for your comment. Yes this is a real route recently used. Chertsey has a few tricky roundabouts and many national speed limit rural roads. Practice on these areas will be helpful if you have a test booked here. You don't have to have practiced in Chertsey to take your test here although getting familiar with some of the roads will certainly help. All the best.
@@ZKJT364 good luck for your test next week!! It's Easter hols so the kids are off school, there'll be hardly any traffic on the roads (even at that time of day). The examiner could take you anywhere so make sure you've practiced all the tricky areas within the chertsey test area.
Hi Dee Congratulations on passing your driving test!! I'm happy that my videos helped you out!! If you haven't already done so, please subscribe to my channel as it will help it grow and I'd really appreciate it. All the best and happy motoring!!
I’ve my test coming up in few days at 8:57 in Chertsey. Your video is so helpful. Being aware of the road is so important. Knowing what hazards are there for example roundabouts and signals can help so much. Your video is amazing. Have you covered all routes they take on Chertsey?
Hiya... thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Not all routes are covered. DVSA have many many routes... they used to publish them but not any more... the ones I've uploaded are just recent ones that were used on my pupils.
Have you made a video for 8 o Clock route? My test time has been changed. I can't find a video. I just want to be familiar with the road. @@kmkldrivingschool
@@FFRI2024 hiya... I've uploaded 5 chertsey routes that were recently used on my pupils but can't remember the time of each one... you'll have to watch the videos and listen out... I usually mention what time the route was used near the start of the route.
Hi there! Thanks for leaving a comment! Congratulations, I'm very happy for you! Glad my videos were able to help you pass your driving test! I wish you all the best!
I have test in next year April . Supposed to be on January but I moved it to April. This is going to be helpful. Hope you do some more chertsey 😊thank you!
Thanks for leaving a comment and supporting my channel... yep there will definitely be my content on Chertsey Test Centre in the future!! Stay tuned...
Thanks for tuning in... glad you find this video helpful... check out my other content and please subscribe as it'll help the channel grow... wishing you the best of luck for your driving test at Chertsey!!
Great work and thank you for commentary. It really helps. Please do try to cover more chertsey routes. Liked & Subscribed. Is there any way of getting the map of test routes.
Thanks so much for tuning in, liking and subscribing!! The DVSA used to publish their test routes online but have stopped doing so for many years. My videos of test routes are all recent ones that have been used on my own pupils during their driving tests. Also, I have an archive of test routes that I have memorised and jotted down over the many years of being a Driving Instructor. Unfortunately there are no maps available of test routes. I certainly will be uploading more Chertsey routes in the near future. Stay tuned and thanks again for supporting my channel.
Hi there. Hope you're well. I've had my part 2 yesterday. Unfortunately I have failed to 3 serious faults and 4 driver faults. Ops. I was remaining very calm throughout until I did become hesitated at one large roundabout. A impatient driver was behind me and horned at me. I didn't move quick enough and slowed him down. 2nd occasion where there were road works with a traffic light. Light was green and I could of gone taking an opportunity. But I decided to slow down and the lights changed to red. I also obstructed a vehicle on my left who was coming out. But I did get close to the lights for him to come out. I think this is why I may have got caught on this. 3rd occasion where the road 30 with no speed signs. I was thinking it was 20 but it wasn't. I was going far too slow. Another opsi. Yeah so lots of mistakes to fix lol. And yep I think it's nerves as well. I hope it goes well next time though. Thanks.
So sorry to hear that your ADI part 2 didn't go to plan. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain each scenario. I fully understand, when you're trying to perform under that amount of pressure... things can go wrong and you end up doing things that you normally just wouldn't do. Wishing you all the best and good luck for the next one.
@@kmkldrivingschool thanks so much. Yep I will need to self practice more throughly until prepared again. I did take time to prepare. But your right about the pressure bit. You kind of have to see everything as it comes along and be aware of each situation to deal with. The last things are impatient rude drivers that also add in of another cause that make you on nerves. But many thanks for your reply. I will keep on trying until those mistakes disappear to give it another go 😆. Thanks 😊 🙏. May I ask where are you from originally?
@@kmkldrivingschool Wow awesome 👌.Pleasure to meet you and your videos are very useful. I always like China 🇨🇳 ❤️ and Japan 🇯🇵 ❤️ people. Lovely culture, food and clothes are super stylish. I really like anime too lol. But I tried to keep off that while I studied for my adi tests. They can be really addicting and get you attached on it and you can't focus. I am learning Japanese too. I learned two words for the moment, arikato and kawii lol. The bowing down tradition is really good too lol. I love that, it's nice and respectful. I would really like to visit Japan Tokyo one day would be a dream. But yep it's good to view your videos. Apologies I may write ✍️ alot lol. 😅.
@@shieldedsolidstrong glad my videos are of help to you. Yep I also like the Japanese culture too... hoping to take a holiday there next year some time!! Last time I planned to go there it was ruined by covid. Anyway take care and all the best!!
I have a test this coming July at 11:01 and I’m quite nervous as I don’t know what route are we gonna take. Hopefully, the examiners are nice and won’t put pressure on me during the exam.
What a coincidence that my test is booked at Chertsey at 8:57am 😂. Hopefully I get this route it doesn’t seem too bad but there’s some parts that an impatient driver could cause some trouble. Do you have any advice for awareness and concentration. I’ve been taught everything but the only thing holding me back is awareness and concentration causing silly mistakes.
Hellooo... thanks for watching and subscribing to my channel... your support is really appreciated!! Ummm awareness and concentration... awareness and planning... anticipation and planning... all of these things are always easy on paper but when it comes to actually putting it into practice it's a completely different story. The one and only tip I can think of really is to practice practice practice... the more situations you put yourself in, the more experience you'll gain.
Thanks, it's a great video and very helpful! One query - At 9m27s into the video, going past Tesco in Addlestone, you drive past a pedestrian that's already ventured (just!) onto the right-hand side of the pedestrian crossing while it's a Red Man for them. Assuming that this is okay as a driver, but please can you confirm?
Hi Nick Thanks for watching. Yep perfectly fine in my eyes. The lights were green for me and the guy had only just stepped out. He clearly knows there are cars coming and shows no signs of trying to randomly dart out into the road. For me to rapidly slow down would probably cause issues for traffic following me. Hope this helps. Please consider subscribing if you haven't already done so. It would be a great help and really assist the channel's growth. All the best.
Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. Glad you enjoyed the video. Please subscribe (if you haven't already done so) as it will help my channel grow. I wish you all the best and GOOD LUCK for your driving test!!
Hi Paramveer!! Thanks for tuning in!! I'll try my best to squeeze in another Chertsey Test Route if I get some time (super busy atm). You can also watch Route 2, crazy and tricky roundabouts... also Dan's mock test (which was filmed in Chertsey). Remember to hit Subscribe if you enjoyed the video... it really helps me out!! Oh... and Good Luck for your test!! All the best!!
Hiya!! Thanks for your comment. If it's a mini roundabout or a roundabout of no significant size then it isn't necessary to signal to exit. I have never seen an examiner mark anyone down before. Hope this helps. Cheers.
Hi there. Thanks for tuning in. There are multiple tests routes available for the examiner to pick from, there is no way of knowing which route you're going to get. My videos are here for guidance but I really can't say for definite which route you'll end up with. All the best.
I live in sunbury, and I have a test booked for 28th of January at chertsey, but my usual driver instructor is no longer available. I don’t suppose we can arrange an intensive driving lesson for 1 week in Jan? I have a RU-vid channel too and we can collaborate in return :)
Hi there!! Thanks for tuning in... my diary is pretty busy during January but we can try to arrange something... contact me on WhatsApp or text and we can talk more... 07799 625888 Cheers!!
So basically anywhere along that road is safe and legal to pull over. On the day of the test the scenario might be different, so take into consideration your surroundings before finally stopping. I remember there is a bus stop on that section of road so obviously pulling up in the bus stop would not be a good idea. Most people find it scary to stop on that road due to the fact that the speed limit is 40mph but if you think about it logically... whether the speed limit it 10, 20, 30 to 40... at the end of the day it's just a road and there are no stopping/parking restrictions... so pulling over on that road is not a problem. Just practice it a few times with your instructor and you'll get used to it.
Hi i have a test in chertsey KT16 on 22may2023, i need a instructor car to have test can anybody book for me, and i need Saturday & Sunday 1 lesson each day, as to know test route
Hi there. Thanks for tuning in and commenting. Usually yes you would signal left after the 1st exit on an uncontrolled roundabout to let others know that you are taking the 2nd exit. There are situations when a signal is not necessary, for example, if you are using a multi lane roundabout controlled by traffic lights. You might be already in a lane dedicated for going straight ahead or in a lane that naturally leads you off the roundabout so a signal is not needed. If you enjoy my vids please subscribe as it will help my channel grow. Hope my reply helps you out.
I cannot take a date for my driving test in Chertsey, can you give me any advice for booking a driving test? I am using two applications and haven't received a single notifications in the last six months.
Hi Bora... firstly, thanks for tuning into my channel. I know it's tempting to use these apps but I wouldn't recommend them. They charge money and a lot are scams. I always advise my pupils to book directly through the DVSA. Best time is 6am in the morning. Keep trying and eventually you'll find some dates. It's a long process as there are thousands in the same boat. Good luck...
Hi thanks for your comment. These are real routes that were used on my pupils. I was in the back of the car so was able to memorise them. The DVSA don't actually publish their routes. There is an app available where you can follow the routes on the screen but I can't remember the name of it I'm afraid. It also costs money to use.
Thanks for watching... please subscribe if you enjoyed the video!! Yeah I mean nobody actually knows which route they'll get on their test but practicing on a variety of different roads around the area will certainly help you out. All the best!!
@@kmkldrivingschool with my work getting in the way, I technically only have 4 days to practice before my test and I don't think my car is road worthy in the eyes of the instructor. Its passed it mot but it lacks airbags and power steering.
@@plonker007 sorry to hear that you've got a tight schedule... as long as you car is road worthy and insured for the purpose of taking the test then there shouldn't be any problems. If you're concerned you can always contact the DVSA to check.
Hi Kimberley. Thanks for watching. Umm there are so many test routes the examiners can choose from that it's really hard to predict which one you'll end up getting. It's certainly possible that you could get this exact one but I feel that at 10am the roads are pretty clear so the examiners will have more freedom to pick perhaps a test route involving some of the roads that would have been busy during rush hour. Good luck for the test... Subscribe to the channel if you found it helpful. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment. You will get a fault if your signal causes confusion to other road users. If you are in a dedicated left turn lane then technically a signal is not required as there is no other option besides to turn left... however, you might consider giving a signal... say for example if there was a pedestrian waiting to cross the road (the pedestrian may not know that you are in a left turn lane). Hope this helps. Please consider subscribing to my channel if you find the videos helpful and enjoyable. Thanks...
Hi there... it's a possibility... you'll never know for sure exactly where the examiner will end up taking you as there are so many different routes they can pick from but as a guideline you could use this route. At that time of day I'd imagine they will avoid busy areas such as the roundabouts by St Peter's Hospital for example... but like I said, you'll never know for sure so be prepared for any scenario.
At 12:32 , if you’re turning right at a roundabout shouldn’t you exit in the right lane then move back into left when it’s safe? Or am i getting confused
Hi Jack Thanks for leaving a comment. Usually when using roundabouts similar to the one at 12:32 you would exit in the left lane if safe to do so... if it is not safe to do so then you can exit using the right lane and return to the left later on.
Hi, my driving test practical in Chertsey comes up on June 12, do you take lessons on automatic vehicles?. If yes, are you free for a day or two next week to me on final brush up lessons? What number to reach you?
Hi there. Thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately I'm fully booked till the beginning of July and only offer manual lessons. I wish you all the best and good luck for the test.
Hello hope you are well. I have a test in Chertsey 10am on the 19th of July and I was wondering if you had any time to do a mock test or a lesson in the meantime.
Hey Kevin, I currently don't have a car or instructor for my test on Jan 10th at 10:04 am in Chertsey. Is there any chance you are free at this time? I'd he happy to pay double your rate for this. If not, would you be able to point me in the right direction?
Hi Tenjin Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I'm fully booked throughout January. I'm not aware of any instructors who are available at short notice I'm afraid. Sorry about that...
Hi Tenjin That's really bad luck. I mean you can take your test in any car that is insured for the purpose of a driving test so perhaps if you have a friend or member of family you can borrow a car from? The only other way really is to try every driving instructor you can find in your local area. Most instructors have some kind of social media these days so they shouldn't be too hard to find but with the 10th being just a few days away... you'll need luck on your side to find anyone with space in their dairy.
Hi Sophie! Thanks for tuning in. That's a good question but I'm sorry it was such a long time ago... I'm struggling to remember. Good luck for your test!
