Cheryl Ladd performs three songs live at the end of her 1979 TV Special. This special (and her others) can be purchased at 70s-tv.com, and at very reasonable prices!
WOW! Cheryl Ladd is one of the most amazing female creatures to ever walk the planet.. i never knew she even sang.. or danced.. what a babe and a killer in those heels... bravo!
Yes. Cheryl Ladd hosted. She had a few variety specials of her own in the late 70s and early 80s. This one (1979) is definitely the best one. There are a few more clips on RU-vid, such as Cheryl singing with Waylon Jennings and Ben Vereen. You can buy this, if you so desire, at 70s-tv. com
Love this. Her version of Gotta Get You Into My Life sounds closer to the Earth, Wind & Fire version to me than the Beatles version, to be honest. I love her own version of the song as well, of course, as well as the rest of the songs. Especially To Make You Smile Again, I absolutely loved that! All in all, she did a fantastic job on this.
Wow, thank you for posting this! I use to love those Cheryl Ladd specials. Too young for a VCR then. :( lol She's still beautiful today inside and out. :)
Could she be any more adorable Shes such a cutie and has such a sincere warm and welcoming vocal range and voiced and sang the role.of Melody in the cartoon Josie and the pussycats..
We never know why she quit her sing. I wish she will go back to singing again. We miss Cheryl Ladd and her singing on stage in the past. Come back.Cherly Ladd .
Since this video is of her singing three songs, I'm assuming you are referring to the first song. It's called "Got To Get You Into My Life." It was written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and originally performed by the Beatles.
What about the original Josie And The Pussycats? jackie Joseph provided the speaking voice of Melody. But Cheryl Ladd provided her singing voice. And there's an album out there of the songs that were performed on the cartoon.
I'm not sure what the 2nd song is called, but I know it's not on any of her albums. My best guess is that it's called "Smile Again" or something like that. The 3rd song is "Missing You" on her album Dance Forever.
Hi Kelly - can you help me with something that's been bugging me for .. well at least 20 years. Cheryl released a single in the UK, maybe very late 70's. It never charted but got radio play, and was an up-tempo song and I recall rather good. I can't remember it's title .... do you know?
God, I found two of her albums (yes, vynil)in a vintage record shop and snapped them up. One's titled "Skinny Dipping" I kid you not. She's an okay singer, I guess, but the songs are horrible. It's good for a chuckle.
I think you about got it pegged ... She definitely needs more vocal lessons or practice ... Or both ... She's not to good ...Of course her fans cant look at this objectively.... They will love her no matter how bad she is ...
She wasn't bad. She sang in tune for the most part. This was the day and age where everyone who was an actor/actress either sang, dance, or did both. Now out of her contemporaries of the day, I'd say she was better than most of them. Lynda was one of the others, and although I'm a big fan, I can look objectively and say, no they're not these virtuoso's. They can do the very basics, which is sing in tune, give okay tone quality, which is the real test but no they probably won't be great at it.
