Great to see the sights since I’m usually the one driving. Gotta admit this bridge scared me as a kid. Mainly because I watched “The Night the bridge fell”.
It's always so exciting when we make it to the bay bridge! Means we are 2 hours away lol! My most favorite part of the road trip, besides the route 50 and/or route 90 bridges into actual OC, windows down smelling the salt air, THE BEST lol.
Drive it every day . From east to west and back. Always exciting. Wind and weather affects my commute. Can be 7min across or 2hrs. Longest trip across was over 6hrs.
I just read an article about the bridge, and many people are afraid of it. I wonder why? It's a beautifully constructed bridge. Best regards from Germany.
Thank you for taking your subscribers along for the ride. Has Maryland decided where the 3rd span to cross the Chesapeake Bay is going to be and when might the project start and finish?
If there's an emergency on the bridge how do emergency services get through? It doesn't look like there's enough room even if the cars move to the side to make a middle path.
They either shut the lane down or open up a lane on the opposite bridge. They use traffic display signs and signs before/on the bridge to notify people of any traffic pattern changes.
that bridge is so narrow and high without any shoulder! how often do people drive off of it!? looks like it wouldnt take much but a bump in the side and a tire catching the wall to bring you over.
The only time I can remember in the last (almost) 20 years is a tractor trailer going over. He swerved to avoid hitting a car. Other than that, it's pretty well built. There was recently a 20 car pile up and no one went over.
@@ReelJayB With the exception of your recent road trip down south, your videos center around OC and nearby communities. Unexpected Bay Bridge visit. Not complaining, still a thumbs up 👍
