That's just a simple coarse fishing rod rest I attached, makes it handy to rest my rod on the stand without it falling off (I've done that far too many times!).

This particular mark is all about trying to hit the sand bar that is out there. That is surrounded by shingle, but the rays frequent the sand. I use the Veret rods, the blue one is a Syria 435 175g, I love this rod! Definitely my favourite rod at the moment. Reels are Shimano Bull's Eye 9100s.
