I am the one and only in the UK who's fought MS for over 50 years who's had a signed shirt and letter from our ENGLAND football team along with a letter from them for my Christmas Day birthday.

Believe it or not, this song was a big hit with university students at Freshers discos a couple of decades back. Don't know if it's still played now, but for a confidence booster after a few scoops, you can't really ask for a better anthem to encourage mass compilation.🍸🥃🥳

That's still a young Talent there, I'm glad the Incredible Nik Kershaw wrote this Piece for Hawkes, Kershaw(Playing lead Guitar ). His Music Gave me the strength to Finish My Navy training Schools back-to-back, the Commendation & Two Aced Exams -Gave that Fortitude to Earning ESWS pin at E-3 , Though couldn't wear it until I got Frocked to E-4 rank. .

Loved it the first time I heard it as a kid on cassette tape, but rediscovered it the other day and remember why I did! Still love it but I think think I like this live better version. I still remember the words all these 30 years later. Love it. I'm still dancing to it and it is a great message!!!!

I well remember the year this single hit the charts, bought the vinyl 45. Brings back fond memories! I didn't actually get to see the movie Buddy's Song until about the mid-90's, one night when it was shown on TV. My circumstances were different and somewhat improved by then. At time of release in '91, I had just completed my one year at a local college (the best year of the lot!) and was due to enrol at a polytechnic college - which after three months fizzled out in disappointment. Even Chesney can tell us some things about how life has its ups and downs, yet he deals with such things in a sensible and constructive way, and he doesn't have a bitter bone in his body. I'm glad things have worked out for him - working with rock/pop greats such as Roger Daltrey and Nik Kershaw, a resurgence in his career, married with three kids! - he deserves it all, and more.
