Comments that are intended to agitate are not permitted and I will instantly ban you, A fair npoint was - somebody said "that's suspicious that you said the engine doesn't like that," it's because i study games played in the last 5 years and it was actually a top 3 engine move when i looked back at it
update: I'm no longer allowed to accept open challenges for players rated higher than 1500 even though I was told my account was in good standing and I had no restrictions. They're ABSOLUTELY lying, which is their MO in fairness.
Also I beat 2 2500 rated players in on arena, and beat a 1850 8 times. No idea what my rating should be, 2300 maybe

is this some deep satire or something?

it's a character but let's start veeeeery basic - all the chesscom speedruns have 100% of "random" matchups against diamond members. I get 10%. Do you agree or disagree that this is not possible if the matchups are random? Because I think only a very stupid person would believe that

I made multiple accounts as an experiment. My rating is around 1200. On one account, I got to 1400. On others, I couldn't get past 800. There is definitely manipulation going on

Every diamond member plays 60% of their games against other diamond member players but me - 10%. I stopped getting ELO refunds 9 months ago, and on top of that, it says "you cannot accept challenges from titled players" even if they accept. My rating (2000 on lichess) though every 16 year old who needs an engine to play more than 3 moves, is obsessed with, that's not what the video is about but to answer - 2 years of results versus players on lichess and chesscom. It's in the video series, I win 50% against players up to 1800 chesscom / 2000 lichess, then lose 2 / 3 after that and it's very consistent long term but this isn't about my rating, it's about diamond memberships and manipulation of matchups
@Bismarck-S
@Bismarck-S 6 месяцев назад
@@chesswithjokes There might be a system where people who play with high CAPS score get matched against people with similar CAPS score in their following games. I also get elo refunds and I've never bought the diamond membership. I also have never spent money on chess and I have seen a consistent improvement in playing strength, as back up by my elo gain. I personally don't think the match ups are rigged, but there might be some sort of match making system which just so happens to match your against better players when you win, because you usually have higher CAPS in wins.
@Bismarck-S
@Bismarck-S 6 месяцев назад
@@chesswithjokes maybe your opponents did not cheat agains you, but did later on thus resulting in there being no Elo refund. If you think that the system is somehow rigged, I respect your rights to express that opinion. I have personally experienced similar things a long time ago in what we call "Elo hell", which is around 600-800 Elo.

this is a sober take and i had never had a paid account until this year either. I believe there's a player trust theory that puts people with suspicious moves for their ratings on a watch list and restricted player pool, but I haven't thought too much about it. My HUGE problem with it is that - because their streamers get 100% of matchups against premium members, it's not possible for that to be "random." I am a content creator, and chesscom streamers aren't allowed to raid lichess streamers, they get inflated matchups, and most chess viewers watch players with a high rating assuming it's accurate. I find this practice to be criminal and there should be an antitrust suit brought against chesscom for their secretive, manipulative, and abusive practices that have involved the extortion of botez, eric hansen, has eliminated competition, violated every form of acceptable business practice and destroyed all small chess content creators. They're unironically evil @@Bismarck-S

@@chesswithjokeswait I don't understand what is the problem with diamond members getting matched with other diamond members. Aren't diamond members less likely to cheat, so only being pooled with them could be an incentive to buy diamond?

Hey bro listen, if you think you are actually 1700 keep playing it will take time to reach as u get only 7-12 points per match, it would take u about a 100-150 games including loses to reach it i was a 500 2 years ago now i'm a 1700 i played 400 games in total to achieve it, and i'm still climbing up the rating ladder, in a year i might achieve 2000. It takes time just keep playing u will rating will surely increase
@chesswithjokes
@chesswithjokes 6 месяцев назад
or i can go back to playing on lichess where my rating is 1700 blitz / 2000 rapid and get it to where I think it should be (1800). I got back into chess 5 years ago and at this point I can beat international masters, i have videos about it. I'm trying to be funny in this video and that's the ONLY reason people think I suck. "He talks stupid." This rating stuff is ridiculous
@DanacChess
@DanacChess 6 месяцев назад
From my experience the 1200 rating range is the hardest to break. For me I beat 1500s considtently at 1200 level. Then I broke to 1300 and within like a few weeks I was at 1600. It took a few months then to reach 2000. My peak now (less than 1 year later) is 2100
@chesswithjokes
@chesswithjokes 6 месяцев назад
so hypothetically, what would you do if you broke 1200, broke 1500, and rose from 1200 to 1900 on lichess at the same time - then still fell back to 1200 on chesscom and lose half of your games to 1200s? All while maintaining or gaining rating on lichess? All while winning half of your games taken as challenges against 1700-1900 ELO players on chesscom? What would you do? Because that's my story and it shouldn't be possible

@@chesswithjokes There might be a lot of psychology involved. Sometimes you have great wins, but other times you seem to get really big loosing streaks. One of the important things for me when I am having a loosing streak have been to analyze my games and see where I have been going wrong. For me it was also much easier to focus on Lichess when I could play chess and not feel sad about all the rating loss and having the feeling that my rating should be much higher. When playing chess, especially faster time controls, one must focus on playing the game; looking for tactics (checks captures atttacks and then piece improvement).One thing I noted was that you lost a game due to time preassure. The thing is that you can have the playing strength of a 1500, 1600 or 1700 rated player in blitz, but much weaker time management. Managing time is a huge part of all games with no increment. As for my own experience (Note that it might be different since I play mostly rapid) I sometimes feel stressed like "I have to win". In those situations I might eighter blunder (Rare nowadays, since I know a few tricks to avoid it) or just thinking that I need to simplify the position to an endgame where I can outplay my opponent, and the endgame is often drawish then. That strategy does (suprise suprise) not work. My new strategy is to get to a rather good middlegame (Meaning I focus on not blundering in the opening, develop my pieces and not open the position unless my king is safer and my development is better, with the exception of some theoretical positions such as the open sicilian, as I know quite some theory there.) Then in the middlegame I try to have a good plan. This plan depends on what opening I am playing, if it is an attacking or a positional opening. In attacking ones (Such as the sicilian najdorf or the King's indian defence or opposite sides castling positions overall) I try to attack, and I know how to attack based on modelgames from top level. In positional openings such as the ruy lopez or some najdorf lines and more, I try to improve my pieces, principle of the Least active piece. I generally avoid trading, unless there is any concrete justification. Tactics is something you should always look for. I could write more tips, but I got to stop somewhere. One last thing: I have had periods when I scored better against higher level opponents than against lower rated opponents, because when playing strong players I expected the opponent to be playing good, and against lower rated players I expected the opposite and lost. I don't know if there is any easy quick-fix, but I hope this helped

7:56 could there be some kind of forced checkmate soon, after bd6 setting up discovered check 🤔 *Almost, but white queen can guard g3 which you need as an entry point for black queen. Even with rook exchange white queen can still hit that square. **What if black exchanges rooks, then throws the 2nd rook across to attack white queen, drawing her away from protecting the g3 entry square.. but then it's a back rank mate... so start with h5 to make space for king 🤔 Interesting position! will check with engine in morning. Unless you give an answer before.
@chesswithjokes
@chesswithjokes 6 месяцев назад
It is an interesting position, but if you play bd6 then white plays knight f3 which protects the g1 and h2 square, so although there might be something there, I get bd6, nf3, then regardless of whether or not you throw in the rook exchange an uncovered check will only lead to a repetition or a winning position for black that would still be hard to covert without increment.
