My wife wanted to give me the chessboard for Christmas 2022. We are still waiting for delivery. The support is no longer responding. Very disappointing. Be careful with this company!
That looks so cool! I'm a little disappointed that they move so slowly. Otherwise, looks like a really cool way to play against someone far away on a real chess board.
I have to return my Swap. The board started out fine, but then began malfunctioning: Putting pieces in the wrong place, moving them in the wrong way, not moving them at all, not returning back to the start position, and making a horrible sound sometimes when the armature would slam against the interior of the board. 😭
i had the square off pro and sold it. just could get warm with the software. Went with Chessnut and this is not mooving pieces but working perfect in every game
The automated piece movement looks like a bit of a gimic. The first thing I thought about was pieces breaking down. Interesting to see the experiences of people below that seem to confirm that thought.
very disappointing!! board not working at all! I am being trying to claim the 30 days guaranty since June 26 and still waiting for any reply, I have sent several emails but nor reply yet . poor customer services.
I was excited at the idea of this until I saw how flaky it apparently is. I suppose it's software and ultimately fixable but there's a lot of failure that I think a team trying to deliver a quality experience should have caught before it went out like it apparently has. Oh well.
It would be responsible to read through the hundreds of comments from disappointed customers on Kickstarter before promoting such a product. Some customers have been waiting for your product for years and still haven't received it.
Thanks you convinced me to never buy a square off product haha, I saw how terrible was le wooden version, and this new one looks barrely better... realy a shameless brand to put a product like this in production and at this price
