You're the realest chest Grandmaster out there online. Love your random wisdom tidbits just as much as your chess.

I really like these videos with the longer time controls. My brain simply can't process things fast enough to be able to properly appreciate what's going on in short time control games, so I get a lot more out of watching these games than I do with your Titled Tuesday ones.

Always love seeing a new speedrun video. Shame it’s only 10 minutes. Wouldn’t mind you playing 2 games if the first one ends quickly

Another good, albeit short, one. Good demonstration of why understanding the opening is so much more important than memorizing the opening.

It's beautiful to hear you analyze and go over games. What baffles me is enemy opponent moving so quickly woth the pieces, they aren't even calculating

Good day to you GingerGM, great episode, once again. I would be very happy, if you try out the polish opening with 1. b4, since you are kind of a mad man in chess i think it would suit you well. Greetings from Germany! Love your content!

It’s always exciting to watch Simon go in with some double edged attack, but I much prefer watching him play solid for some reason

10:08 did you ever think about playing Qxb4+ and taking the light square bishop? The passed a pawn looks dangerous maybe?

That was ridiculous. You just played common sense moves to beat a master level player.

I mean his opponent was not even thinking and was playing too quickly
@BrianGreene-i4o
@BrianGreene-i4o 3 дня назад
@@faznaz7455 lol is that normal? It's probably normal. Simon doesn't do a great deal of calculating either. Maybe they just look at the opponents elo and decide how hard they are going to try later.
@faznaz7455
@faznaz7455 3 дня назад
@@BrianGreene-i4o Yes it is normal unfortunately. When i play these 10 min games myself, around 40% of the time i notice that my opponents do this against me, which makes me frustrated because there is little instructive value when i take advantage of an inaccuracy and push it to the end due to low time pressure. Even at 2200 i see it happen (they are more skilled at being fast though). I noticed that this guy had 9 minutes on the clock when he blundered a piece and lost quickly out of the opening….
@BrianGreene-i4o
@BrianGreene-i4o 3 дня назад
@@faznaz7455 But if you're fast in the endgame it makes up for blunders!
@faznaz7455
@faznaz7455 3 дня назад
@@BrianGreene-i4o True, although not too much of an issue for myself, however this strategy only gets you so far against certain opponents, and arguably does hinder long term improvement. Good time management is important.

Your opponent played way too quickly and played certain moves without thinking….very strange to say the least
