Is it hard to rotate that board around? The main issue that I know about eboards is that you have to rotate them for which ever side you are playing on. I have seen people use lazy susan bearings to move those boards around easier. When you mount that board on something that can spin it around, is it able to spin just fine without the pieces moving that badly? Its just that I would guess a board that is square shaped would stay on the thing that spins it better, can the evo which is more rectangular accidentally tip over when spinning? Also I think I heard that the evo kind of lags when pieces move on the virtual board compared to the actual board? Like when a opponents piece moves on the virtual board it takes like a second or two to show up on the eboards LEDS?

ill test the moving and lag :) i have a lazy susan for my pro... i used it it was alright.. too big for the evo im afraid. but i think i have another solution so ill test it out soon. for the pro i ended up getting rid of the lazy susan (i didnt like how it elevated the board higher, and moved when I bumped it during games) i didnt notice any lag when i was playing with bots.. everything was working find for me but ill keep at eye out in my tests as well.

The next version both the outer board and the chess board itself will be perfectly round on a motorized turntable with heavy magnetic pieces that are non-removable, it will change the dynamic of how you play chess, but it will be easy to switch sides without moving even one piece or even one piece flying off. The magnets prevent piece removal from the board until you unpower the device and discharge the motherboard, then degauss the entire setup in a centrifuge.
