Us military: either the grenade has a secondary safety pin, or you got to secure the primary pin with electrical tape Whoever manufactured this rig: you see ivan: little hook make you save time
Regarding the bottom of the mag wearing out the flap from the inside: Higher end chest rigs stitch a rubber or hypalon surface along the inside of that wear point. If you just put a patch of high quality duct tape there it'll do the same thing and its as close to free as it gets. The grenade lanyard might be dumb as an idea for grenades...but that lanyard is great if youre using that pouch for other things such as radios, compass etc. I lanyard everything on my rig.
This Splav maker designed the chest rig based on the "Chicom" chest rig. The layout of magazine bags, grenade bags and accessories is similar. I also have a modern Vietnamese chest rig designed based on the "Chicom" chest rig.
If anyone is looking for something similar like this chest rig then Condor has one budget option called the "7 pocket Chest Rig" 3 mag pouches and 2 medium utility pouches with a admin pouch. Goes about 30-50€
Velcro makes noise, unless you’re really careful. More importantly, velcro tends to wear out over time with hard use. I’ve not made these, but I *have* made soft luggage, backpacks, possible bags/messenger bags, and zippered grocery bags…
Grenade on a string ... thats like turning yourself into a walking Boobytrap. Sure its a good idea on paper but its a good way to blow up yourself under real combat conditions. As the saying goes - No Strings Attached
I just started watching your videos on RU-vid. What country do you live in maybe (Finland ). I didn’t know civilians live in Europe can have military type rifles. Are the RPG and grenades in your videos real? Are ammo prices high we’re you live. Thanks for the educational videos .
@@patliao556 Thanks for information. I been watching his channel a the past few months now. I have seen some fake videos on RU-vid, but this guy is for real.
I'll always favor anything but velcro... it gathers anything as if it's life depended on it to undermine it's own functionnality, does have a mind of it's own and is way too noisy. A flap with a button is silent, does precisely what it was meant to do no matter what and is highly repairable, with zero maintenance but normal wash. Velcro needs a cleaning tool and time to clean it in order for it works sustainably... and the noise, the freakin' stupid noise it freakin' makes every freakin' time SSSSSKKKKKRRRRROOOOUUUUCCCCHHHHHH... unacceptable.
