this helped so much. I just had lung surgery a week ago and had ny chest tube removed. I was concern on how to keep my insecion cuz yesterday I had to remove the bandages they applied at the hospital. my parentd put a bandaid on but were still scared because they weren't sure if they did the right thing. after seeing this it made me more calm as well as to my parents. thank you once again this was very helpful
i currently have two of these in the left side of my chest, they go in right next to each other but one goes to the top of my chest to drain air and the other goes down to the bottom to drain liquid after my chest surgery, it hopefully gets removed tomorrow. as excited as iam, im also doubly nervous
I’ve never had one of these things in me before and I hope I never will, but I’m still curious… Do they hurt? I just had this idea in my head of them being painful while in and/or being removed.
i had a chest tube out in during my spinal fusion because they needed to deflate my lung in order to get to my spine. when they were preparing to remove it, they told me to take a deep breath and that it wouldn’t hurt they lied 😭 they took it out and it was one of the most painful parts of the surgery. it felt like the chest tube was a monster clawing its way out of my side so idk if it was just me but the removal was very very painful
@@blznft9513 how long you feel the pain? my boyfriend remove before 2 days, he is in such a pain, i dont know its that normal or what?? everyone i ask no one tell mi nothing, and than im scared even more now 😢..sry for my english...just wanna now it's pain "normal" and when can expect to stop :(
@@blznft9513i get my double tube removed tomorrow, you say it hurts less than just after its put in? the pain i felt the night after mine was put in was excruciating and i couldn't sleep
