Question 2: Are the water seal chamber and collection chamber the same things? During the lesson they are listed as different - seems like the bubbling would not be normal in the water seal chamber but would be normal in the drainage chamber..... - I would imaging the water/fluid draining into the drainage chamber could resembling bubbling... is this at a correct assumption?
The correct statement is that continuous bubbling in the water seal chamber (not the collection chamber) of a chest tube drainage system indicates an air leak.
