WHAT?! You've gotta be kidding me...I've always thought it would be amazing to hear Chester sing Guns N' Roses songs... I never knew he DID, with SLASH of all people! This is awesome.
that´s surprinsingly good... I like both bands, GnR more, I never thought they´d play togheter, Chester handled the responsability of playing with such great musicians pretty well
Hah! This is great. Axl Rose walks around like only he can do this. Way to go Chester! shoved it right up his ass! I think G&R should reunite with Chester on lead vocals. Check out the work he did with Motley Crue, he gave Vince Neil a run for his money as well on Home Sweet Home.
slash actually confirmed that the song doctor alibi on his solo album originally had different lyrics with chester singing but it ended up getting scraped for the version with Lemmy from Motorhead on it - slash said back in 2017 or 18 that he gave the track to chester's estate and it's up to Tilinda (chester's wife before he died) or whoever is in possession of it now to release the track to the public or not
They played together many times. Also played Whole Lotta Love (by Led Zeppelin), Highway To Hell (by AC/DC) and All The Young Dudes (by David Bowie) together; there might be even more, but these are the ones I know of
....ladies and gentleman, Chester Bennington. No need to say anything else: this performance is outrageosly outstanding by itself. He had the only voice that could fill in for Axl's huge shoes in our century. Two of the best voices of a whole era, two of my absolute favourite bands...and Chaz, well..saying you Splendid creature are painfully missed would be mere understatement. So sorry for all your pain. So sorry for everybody undergoing that amount of unbearable pain. I wish you all much peace.
7Roeth I mean if you listened too his music, you’d understand but then again this coming from a big fan not just of Linkin park but Chester singing, he’s always had the vocal range, I’ve grew up with him over the years since I was 7 now I’m 18, I’ve really truly experienced the best band grow & become great band over the years but got criticized too much for being able too change “genre” but still keep their sound which is LInkIn pArk. I’ve always loved there albums
Chester learned how to sing by listening to songs and copying the singers, and he didn't realize at first many of them used effects so he would try and make his voice alone sound like what's on a finished album. That's why he was able to cover a wide range of vocal styles pretty well and do some pretty darn hard vocals. It was actually a problem when he first joined Linkin Park, whenever he sang he copied other people's styles and it took a while for them and him together to figure out what his style is, what he sounds like in his own songs.
I swear if I hear one more person who says something negative about linkin park or chester in specific..... Linkin Park is not in any way bad. Chester/Axl is not better than Axl/Chester. They are in two vastly different genres. I mean this is the equivalent of saying that if GNR sang an LP song or had some other kind of involvement with them that you would quit being a fan of them. plus the people who were *actually at the concert* weren't complaining that they had Chester guest sing for them, or do you wanna make the excuse that the entire population of attendees to that concert aren't true fans? Think before you say something that can easily be broken down, analyzed and rebutted.
You are absolutely right! Sometimes people get butthurt so fast. man it was just a concert and they were having fun making music for people who enjoy livemusic.
Just like when he sang hunger strike with Chris Cornell and he wasnt Eddie Veder people were insulted or him singing for STP im sure all he wanted to do is do the music justice Eddie and Scott were 2 of his favs growing up so dont think he would ever want to be compared to them and he is also godd friends with Chris and Eddie honestly Chester can sing anything perfectly which not every vocalist can such a talented humble and passionate character i miss him dearly still cant process his passing sometimes
Robert Plant, Mili Matijevic, Sebastian Bach, Freddie, Jeff Buckley, Bruce Dicksinson, Rob Halford, Myles Kennedy, Dio, James LaBrie, Axl Rose, Steve Perry, Phil Collins, Geddy Lee, all more powerful, and more unique sounding vocalists.
@@jesusjimenez6755 I like chester. I'm fan of him. But theres a big difference between axl and chester. Chester is chester. While axl is Axl. Remember that first album of Gnr . Release over 50M . And one of the most influential band in the rock music industry
When you realize chester could have very well been the vocalist for gray daze linkin park stone temple pilots AND then dominate the airwaves by being the vocalist for GnR is just beyond what mortal mind can handle
Quede asombrado la verdad, que capacidades que tenia este tipo increible, sin palabras, dejó un gran legado y un vacío por todo el camino que pudo haber recorrido, RIP Chester
@@palebluedot8733 it's called depression. It attacks you when ur alone. It's a battle within yourself. Not to mention with it you dont think or take things like a normal person does. It's a mental illness, Chester didn't want to go ofcourse, he loved his family and fans. He was just in a really hard spot in the last moments in his life and needed an escape so he committed suicide. Not cuz he wanted to kill himself. U think someone in the right mindset would even wanna kill themselves? Exactly.
Oh Dude! We miss you everyday Chester...I've never seen this video before, Your voice is always amazing..with Slash and Duff..this show is something special...lucky fans!
Slash and the rest of VR better hire Chester as the new vocalist of Velvet Revolver! :)) It would be awesome to see him front Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots, VR, and even Dead by Sunrise :)
R.I.P. Chester Bennington. You will always be remembered for lighting up the lives of millions who fondly remember their teen years highlighted by your powerful screams and soothing voice.
A lot of people don't know that before Linkin Park, Chester was in a Grunge band called Grey Daze. He has a lot of training in classic hard rock style of singing hence how he managed to get that raspy and bluesy tecture to his voice along with his huge range
Slash is amazing, and this combination is simply superb. Unlike most of these people on this page, i am both a hugh Linkin Park fan and also a Guns and Roses fan.
Chester did a great job singing this song, but to be honest no one can ever sing it better than Axl Rose. Axl is one of the greatest vocalists ever, and his trashy attitude should not affect the fact that he is a talented singer. He may have lost his mind in the past decade but i still have the utmost respect for his singing.
