I was a very young girl when I came up to go to bed she was on her knees praying (so I knew not to disturb her) she would pray and After saying my prayers I would go asleep (she would still be praying. In the morning when I awaken she would be on her knees still praying. So in my mind she didn't sleep 😅😅, I'm so grateful for those prayers. Hallelujah

My mamma prayed all seven of her children in out of the streets and back into church. She raised us in church and we never forgot it!!!!!! R.I.P MISS ALICE.

Y'know what, I'm not ashamed that I'm not a religious person, but I do sometimes wish I still had faith like I did. I was born and raised Catholic but never really felt the Lord speak to me in Mass... But gospel music like this? 🙏🏽 I swear, music is God's way of helping us communicate our struggles and virtues with each other. Whether you believe or not, this right here is power. It's power in the hands of the people, and it's being used to connect and heal. My grandmother and grandfather had 11 kids, 50 grandkids and a few great grand kids. They woke 5am every single morning and prayed for each and every one of those names.

My Mama was my best friend. She died In my arms on 4/11/09. When times get tough I can still hear Mama praying for me.

have a great mama...she put all 5 of us thru college...me thru Yale university- wasn't cheap!!......she got a job as chemist at the water department in 1979 at age 46. ...my only prayer is is that she sees me rich and famous before she goes onto glory.

I remember at 9 years old; I heard my Mama(affectionately known as Madea), praying for me and my 12 other siblings. And 53 years later; I can still hear that sweet, gentle and comforting voice, praying. This song brought a flood of tears from my eyes. How I wish she was still here. Mama passed on Mother's Day 2001. I still feel her presence. The memories will last my lifetime.

I have to listen to this song every day. My grandmother raised me until the day she died. I was in the bed with her while she was dying and holding my hand ,I am 75 now and Lord knows everything she told me I remember. I was in the 3rd. grade when she told me she was leaving me and going home I thank God for all my blessings I know Momma is still praying for me. My Momma, Beatrice B,at 99 years old, 11 days short of 100, went on home to be with the Lord, in May of 2019. She was in constant prayer for her 8 Children; in her later years she would call after midnight to let me know that everything was going to be just fine. I love gospel music and have played and sang all of my life, but I've never heard this song until now and it just took me out! My mother and very best friend in this world was 87 years old when she closed her eyes one last time late in the evening on May 21, 2020. My mother firmly believed in the power of prayer. I used to watch as she'd drop her head and close her eyes at any given moment to pray over a situation, or over her husband of 71 years, her 6 children, or grandchildren. I learned through her example the importance and personal nature of prayer. So, if I drop my head and close my eyes, just leave me be until I'm finished. I miss my mother so much. I was her 'baby girl', so losing her still shakes me going on six months later. But just like I promised before mother closed her eyes one last time, I will live right, serve the Lord, and see her on the other side. Daddy just turned 91 last month and is doing as well as he can. He misses his bride of 71 years so much. Daddy calls me by mother's first name every time I see him. It's okay though. I know his heart is just bleeding so I don't make a big deal out of it. I just say, "Yes, sir!?!", and bring him whatever he's asking for or answer his question. We are caring for daddy 24/7/365. He's never left alone, mother, and he's being well taken care of just like we promised you before you would relax and solely concentrate on Jesus.

My mother made her transition at 6:37 March 14th 2020. She went home saying thank you Jesus. I was holding her hands. I feel so guilty because she prayed all the time and l always got angry because she allowed people to say or do anything ugly to her. Moma said vengeance is mine saith the Lord. Mother is gone now and l though she was weak but what l didn't know she was a angel and GOD called her home. I am 59 yes old but l feel like a teen missing my love, my mom. My Lord this touched me. I woke up this morning around 4-5 am and decided to download a radio app to listen to G-Praise 106.3fm here in Florida as I slept. When I was finished downloading I couldn't find my station but this song was playing and I just busted out crying. My wonderful mother went home in January of 2022 and it's been such a painful ride trying to take care of my father and deal with business she took care of with ease. This song is EVERYTHING my mother was and it just wrapped me in love as I listened. I use to wake and hear my mama praying 🙏 it was the sweets sound there was. I miss hearing her pray. She was a prayer warrior to the end. She had prayer partner she prayed with in the early morning, and she did noonday prayer at the church, Tuesday's and Friday's. And we had prayer 🙏 and bible study at home on Wednesday night. It has been 20 years this may that she left this world to be in heaven her rightful place. I miss her so much, but she is never forgotten. She always found time to pray.🙏 And my mama was my best friend of all best friends. She believed in me and encouraged me and she called me her missionary.
