Hey guys! Come with me on a normal day at the barn. This was an off day for the ponies, so I am mostly just doing barn chores. Chester tries to colic, but I catch it in time! MERCH: worldsbestbarr... #equestrian #barrelracing
my horse passed away from colic on christmas last year. he was a christmas present the year before. he was the best thing that had ever happened to me and i loved him with all of my heart. he was in his prime at 10 years old and could not be any happier. he loved what he did so much and would be so upset if i didn’t ride him. ❤
I'm so glad you caught the colic. My pony had signs that we didn't think much of and thought that she wanted to be with her friends (she was foundering and needed to be in our corral) She was put down 3 days later because she had a bad case of colic and purple gums from dehydration, (Even though she had 2 troughs in her pen). I miss her so much, she was the first pony I ever trained and was rescued from abusive owners.
I’m happy Chester got to feeling better. He’s one of a kind!! Dakota is special too but Chester is my fav!! He’s oozing with personality. Lol!! I love your trailer. Riding backwards,in my opinion , is the best way for them to haul. I had a regular old 16’ stock trailer and my horses would always turn themselves around and haul standing backwards. Keep up the good work Sadie!! I’m expecting to see you at the NFR within a couple of years!!!❤
what i love about your channel is how you dont push your horses till thay brack in barrel racing like most barrel racers do to there horses and i send you 3 all good hopes and wishes hope chester gets better stay strong buddy
@@daniellespence7078 I’m so so sorry! I couldn’t even imagine if mine ended up passing I would be a wreck! I’m sorry you had to go through that! Colic is such a terrible thing it was absolutely terrifying seeing my horse like that but luckily we got her to an animal hospital where they gave her Ivs and a tube down her. Your horse is in the greener pasture and waiting for you guys to ride again🐴❤️
@@_PrincessPoppi I'm glad that your horse was ok. My horse was a tinker named Mary and she came down with it at night on a Saturday, and our vets aren't very professional and wouldn't come bc it was a weekend 😔 and night so she died .we spent hours walking her round and spending time with her but eventually we new it was time to get some sleep knowing that she would be dead in the morning.and she was all bc the vets where lazy 😭
@@daniellespence7078 oh my! That is terrible!!!!!! I’m so sorry that happened those vets are absolutely disgusting that makes me so mad that someone would do that just because it was the weekend! You tried your hardest to make her stay with you but god always has a reason! I’m so sorry for your loss
@@_PrincessPoppi thank you. Are vets really are awfull 😔💔 the night she died when I was lay in the paddock with her ( are last few moments together)the Starlinks that Elon musk owns went by ❤️
i am so glade he is ok . my horse on thanksgiving day went down and was not eating or drinking. we called out the vet and it turned out she had sand in her gut. so she got tubed and now is on sand clear. also what brand was the new blanket my horse needs one.
Hey sis! Possibly the reason for Chester colicking could be from blanketing them at night, then taking the blanket off during the day even tho it’s still cold out. Horses bodies get used to being warm in their blankets so it can definitely have quite a shock on their system when they get it removed and put out where it’s cold and windy:(. I live in the PNW and 75% of people blanket their horses 24/7 even in pasture with multiple horses. And lots of pastures around here have tons of trees as well. Very rarely do we have issues with them getting injured due to being turned out blanketed. Your risk factor for your boys are even lower since they are turned out separately. Not trying to criticize or hate! Just trying to share some info that could be helpful to you😁
I hope the best Barrel horse gets better! 💜💜 also, I’m sure she has mentioned it at some point, but idk where 😭 where did you get kites halter? (I hope I spelled his name right lol) 🫶🏻🫶🏻
You know, you spend all that money making your horse’s look perfect, amazing and match. I don’t understand why you stop there? Why don’t you buy the matching cowgirl outfits for yourself as well to match your horse? I mean I watch F.T. and she got where she is from not only being talented as a rider, having great horses, but always making sure she was dressed and matched to her horse. It not only boosted her morale, but It was her gimmick that helped her fame. Not only as a favorite and great rider, but also as a tuber. I mean no disrespect, you are a beautiful woman, with an amazing figure and equally beautiful horses. I just think you should look as dazzled as your horses “when competing.” Dress for Success! 🥰
I don’t want to sound rude but I think it’s from all the barrel racing You do with him and to be honest, I don’t really know what colic is but just my opinion, if anyone agrees, reply to this comment and if anyone disagrees also reply🤧🥺❤️🐎🌹🫶
Colic is actually really common in horses my vet said that a horse usually colics at least once in its life time. It’s very common in winter because of the weather changes and then not drinking enough water a lot of things can cause colic. It’s not her fault.
