No it does not. The entire masters has to be based in the Uk.

Can someone who already has a masters stand a chance? I applied last year although I already had a masters. I completely poured my myself into all 4 essays but didn't get in.

Hello Rukkayya. I believe so. It really depends on how you explain the rationale for it. Is the new masters the same as the previous one(if yes it can explain the rejection), also was the old masters studies abroad on a scholarship? (If yes it might also affect you) however if these are not true, then if you can expose them to a gap in knowledge that can be bridged by this new masters and the opportunities this new masters will bring which are not currently available then you are fine. I do not believe that chevening would reject you solely on masters. There are a lot of others factors you should consider as there are scholars in my cohort who have masters. However, these are my own opinions, the best place to confirm is on the chevening website or via chevening official communication handles. Thank you.

@@AFMStories the new masters was a lot different from the previous one. But then maybe I'm just too new to the whole process at the moment I have 4 unconditional offers from the universities I applied to sadly with no funding.
