Honestly, you guys did over 1,500 miles in Vietnam and ended up with only 6 stitches. I would wear those as a badge of honor. Cheer and safe travel.

Hi Cheveyo, Tia & Jason. The scenery was heading to Hanoi was great & the heavy rain made it dangerous riding motorcycles. Accidents unfortunately happen, but I'm so glad that Cheveyo came out of it with a minor injury. It could have been worst with more serious injuries. I hope Cheveyo is going ok and isn't in too much pain with the stitches etc. I also hope Tia is ok now and she was so worried about Cheveyo and the accident. Tia, Cheveyo and Jason please take care riding in Vietnam, especially with the traffic. The whole experience through the entire time you guys were in northern Vietnam was fantastic with spectacular scenery along the way and thanks for all the videos and sharing you journey through Vietnam with us. One Pack Wanderers would have to be one of my favourite RU-vid channels. You guys are great and take care. Pete, South Australia.

I'm so pleased Cheveyo's accident wasn't worse although I can't imagine riding a bike for an hour and half to your destination in Hanoi with 2 lines of stitches in the arm. Go Cheveyo, you're a real trooper. I hope you took some pain killers when you stopped and you're on the mend now. Onward and upward. Take care

As you said Cheveyo statistically speaking it was bound to happen and better to happen on the last day rather than the first day. You were very brave Tia holding it together (although I suspect that was not your 1st take in hospital) Glad you are all ok and you will now have a “War Story” Cheveyo to show your kids in the future. The whole Nth Vietnam trip has been a blast to watch. Where are you off to next? Regards from Moonambel Victoria Australia

Lucky fellah. I was lucky to walk away from a step off at about 130kph . After me and the bike partied company , the bike played silly buggers with a tree and I, fortunately, missed everything. And here I am today 50yrs later and still riding.

Glad Cheveyo is ok, but what an adventure it is… His dad is right, it’s all part of a biker’s life, unfortunately. And so typical, how this works in Asia: the man who hit Cheveyo instantly takes the blame and makes sure he pays for his fault. Not losing face, but taking care of the other. Stay safe for now, ok? One accident is more than enough, so go easy now!

Similar thing happened to me in Saigon at the beginning of the year. I had the right of way, but someone crossed in front of me suddenly and I couldn't stop or swerve and t-boned them and flipped over the handlebars. Nothing broken but couldn't use my right arm for about 6 weeks. Driving can get crazy here. Glad y'all are okay

Okay, well from a Motorcycling point of view, this trip was much more challenging than the last. Thank god Tia didn't get hurt, and I wished it happened to me instead of Chev. Motorcycling has ended me up in the hospital several times - more than one broken bones, but never had to get stitches! Chev wins this round when the subject comes up over beers! Again, great drone shots! So glad you bought one!

I can finally breathe easier knowing you guys are finally safe and sound - I think I’ve worried about you all these past few weeks just as much as I’ve worried about my husband (a m/c rider) and my two grown sons (previously m/c riders). As bad as the accident was and having to handle 6 stitches without medication 😫 am glad it wasn’t more serious for Chev. I admire your pain tolerance - honestly to do so without passing out and then get back on the bike and ride for another hour plus is to be applauded - true grit! An important lesson to be learned here though about wearing protective safety gear with all limbs (includ ankles Chev) covered when riding m/cs, no matter how hot it is! This video also highlights the risks and dangers of riding in Hanoi traffic for future travellers to Vietnam (I hope my boys take note!) Way to wrap up your Vietnamese adventure - look forward to the next one! Meantime, rest easy and thanks again for the share!

I think you are a great couple, easily the best vlogers. However why you braved driving in the rural areas of a third world country, in the rainy season is a mystery to me. Luckily apart from one prang and a few stitches all went well. 😊

Great attitude by all. So glad it wasn’t more serious. Motorcycling is an inherently dangerous activity, regardless of where you are, but more-so in the chaotic road conditions of south east Asia. Focus on wound management so you don’t get an infection; keep it dry … especially if you are staying in the humid tropics for any length of time. The Tia and Cheveyo train rolls on 💪🏽

Well what a day, long, river crossing a coming together of bikes and a hospital visit! Loved the drone shots again and impressed with your pain threshold Cheveyo getting those stitches without a needle. Riding in a T Shirt etc always exposes us on motor bikes but I understand the heat factor in leathers..lol Glad you made Hanoi and are no doubt enjoying some down time before heading back to The States. I look forward to where your next adventure will take 'US' ! ..I think I'm right in noticing more breaks for advertisements and that's not an issue of course but I hope it's helping you fund your travels. Probably biggest difference in SEA and USA is just lack of infrastructure in the SEA esp on the roads, like if there was street lights, enforced speed cameras on that intersection or maybe even speed bumps then it wouldnt be so chaotic. regardless y'all safe, hope to see more videos.

My wife is from Vietnam, and every single Vietnamese person that I have met, when you know them well, will guide you through their scars at various locations on their body and tell you a story for each about the motorcycle crash or similar that was the cause. Its almost a rite of passage. But the love shown here is inspiring between you two.

The thing about relative "poverty" in places like the U.S. (certain pockets of the Deep South, for example) is that they could catch up to the middle class and even upper class if only they put in the effort and the hard work. Yes, it's very hard to do, but it's still possible. But in places like Vietnam, it's not even possible. There's no amount of work that could dig them out of that situation.

Hi guys. Would you do a long motorbike trip again in Viet Nam? I have been there, but no motorbike trips. It looks so adventurous, but the risk factor of 60% of locals having accidents is a bit crazy! It sounds as though your accident could have been a lot worse?

In Vietnam, most people discriminate things between Domestic and Foreign. The younger generation prefer Foreign, such as foreign cars, foreign electronics. In this case, the police automatically put the Domestic guy at fault. By the way, any things related to the Mother's side is considered Foreign. However, old generation are more conservative and preferred domestic or foreign things.

If his arm gets worse, go to Thailand and walk into any pharmacy and get some antibiotics. Don't need a prescription. Most prescription drugs are just sold over the counter there. I don't think you could easily get access to antibiotics in a place like Vietnam. Their wealthiest and most powerful politicians probably have a hard time getting medicines.
