The easiest way to distinguish between'64, '65, and '66 is badge placement on the truck and the style of the badge for '64 and '66. The '65 had the C10 badge on the cowling extender, '64 and '66 had theirs on the side of the front fender behind the wheel opening. The one other quick way to know if it's a '66 is to see if it has factory reverse lights, '66 only.

I had a 1960 Chevy Apache-10 1/2 ton Stepside with a Stove Bolt Inline 6 from 1993 to 2003. Sure do miss the old boy!

@@Flips-and-Tips When I bought it, it was like a sky blue. It was pretty beat up by then but ran and was dependable.

I have a 64 and agree, these trucks are the perfect lad truck. That can hang with modern trucks but have that vintage feel !

The 1962 models did NOT have the Apache name or emblem.

There was NO "236 inline six". It was a 235.

You're right, 235.5 cubic inch "235". One of the greatest Chevrolet engines.

1961 Chevy Apache 10👍 General motors had to drop the Torsion bars suspension in 1962 was the last year. Apparently the patent was held by some other companies. 1958 to 1961 The Double headlight years. That's the Apache. The Side trim is the spear and Arrowhead . 1960 to 1962 Had Hydraulic clutch. Not sure why they went to manual clutch in 1963.🤔 I have 1960 235 with what I believe is Factory air conditioning. Not sure what year it was available first 🤔

If you ever had the clutch slave cylinder go out on you like I did in my first '62 , you'd know why they went to mechanical linkage in '63 . Not only do you lose the clutch function, but you also lose the brakes due to the single master cylinder .

@@bobbrinkerhoff3592 😆 lol Don't remember that happening. But once the front brake shoes got wet. Bye bye brakes.👋🤣 Probably why a lot of old trucks have dented front clip 🤔

If the side emblems are still on, and are correct, then it's easy to tell the difference between a 1965 and a 1966. Plus the 1966 model came with backup lights.

I had a '63 with the 292 straight 6. Of all the 5 trucks I've owned, that was my favorite. Might consider removing the text and going with a real narrator over the AI, but the graphics in the video were very engaging.
