It's either Corsa or Borla. Either one sounds great. I had installed them before. If you want snap, crackle, pops on deceleration; it's going to be borla or corsa.
I can attest that the deceleration on my Borla "Stingers" complete with their X-Pipe is definitely especially most enjoyable. Very smooth & just the right amount of rumble. (Stock '07 LS2).
Have Borla cat back for several years now, no drone a just wild about the deep sound. Installed myself w/ no issues 06 c6,; cam & cold air intake next. Have owned c6 since 2007, 33,000 pin clock.
Like others have said....thank you very much for time and effort to make this comparison. Still looking for a magnaflow magnapack clip as a weld in option. These $1000+ options are ridiculously expensive for what they are. Damn corvette tax
It's ridiculous, isn't it? The price of two tin cans, some rain gutter piping, and attractively chromed exhaust tips. Highway robbery. Back in the good old days all you needed was a JC Whitney catalog & $50. It's an insult to motoring humanity.
2012 C6GS here stock NPP with ARH headers catless x pipe TSP stage 1 cam all supporting upgrades valve train cooling etc. Car sounds good no sense in spending $1000+ for very similar sound and maybe more drone
Borla cat back atak Top speed Hooker Are my favorite they sound like the Corvette in my mind. Like when i hear the word Corvette it sounds like the one with either one of these 2

I hav akrapovics on a ls2 w/ x-pipe (3" z06 manifolds). It sounds straight pipe on Acceleration w/ Valves fully open. With the Akra's on deceleration, it sounds like small air explosions in the X pipe; something i cannot explain. There's no snap, crackle, pops; just small air bombs.
All sounded good, but I am looking for something more crisp and tight. As close to short straight pipes as possible at a livable volume. Don't want the boom or bellow, just tight crisp explosions.
too bad the version of Hooker Blackheart you used has no mufflers. Not really a comparison in my opinion. Their NPP versions are the best I've heard. I love the ZR1 muffler but they are junk and fall apart. Borla Touring sounds great.
I have a GS with a cam, AA Supercharger with long tube ARH headers NO KITTY CATS...going into 10 series Flowmaster cans. I think it sounds great 👍 but I'm looking for a better sounding muffler or non at all ?
