I'm a Ford man when it comes to trucks. But when it comes to muscle cars, Nobody Does it Better Than Dodge. Dodge will always be the leader in muscle cars
Road Runner needed slicks, like the Corvette..Road Runner was spinning and squealing ,Vette pretty much hooked and went !This is why ALL old recorded times for cars from the mid 1950's-70's were way off, they spun and thus retarded the times, making them slower than they actually are...take at least 1 second off 0-60 and 1/4 mile times you see in print and that's more realistic of what the car will do. Sometimes more ! Up to 4 seconds as the car spun and then goes into high gear missing the power band.Even BIG Mopar C-Bodies should all run low 13's even 12's as they are just under 4000 lbs, some are just over..
Please do not compare the car in this video to the one in your video. The car in your vid Dads 1972 Road Runner GTX has the wrong grill and hood. The GTX was a performance package for the RR starting in 72. 440 engine and if it had a 4 speed then it came with a 3:54 Dana rear end. These ONLY came with the GTX optioned cars. That is a 72 RR grill at :34 sec you can see it on this car. Check your VIN and if it has a U after the RM23 then it is a GTX. U is for 440 engine.
