Got myself a 97 two-door Tahoe 4×4. .. did the suspension , engine, paint and the interior. Looks better than it did when it rolled off the factory floor... My next project is a k-5 blazer for sure
I have a soft spot for the truck like 2 door suv's, something about them just makes me stop and be extremely happy when i see one, its a style that's been forgotten about for a long time, i love that ford brought back the bronco and gave a 2 door variant as a option and jeep has continued the 2 door suv style after everyone else has abandoned them, i wish one day companies will bring back the 2 door suv style back
I think what you really want is the 1996-1999 2dr Tahoe. The vortec motor and GM411 computer is a big jump. That 411 is totally tunable. It will take a cam, MAF will do it's job, and spark curve and be optimized. For a LONG time I've felt the GMT 400's are more reliable, more drivable, and will make a better collector vehicle vs Square hands down. People in their 40's now with careers were kids back in the 90's who just started driving when the GMT400's came out. Nostalgia is always worth $$$, now add drivability.
I gotta 94 which I should’ve waited and got a 95 Tahoe or Yukon 2 door but I’ll rather have a 87 K5 preferably the 74 fully removable top they just out of my price bracket
Did you put on off-road designs shackle flip kit for the rear end of the Blazer they also make a lowering kit for the transfer case and a steering box frame kit because bigger tires will cause the steering box to break loose on the frame you'll notice cracks in the frame where the bolts bolt up to the steering box if you haven't noticed any yet look up off-road design and buy the steering box kit
I would say the Tahoe has a smoother ride due to better shock absorbers and a more cushioned suspension. But you'll notice I have two shocks behind each tire which soaks up the bumps much better than single shocks.
