nora estrada you're welcome and I'm glad to hear that you were able to fix your son's car by watching my video... thank you for letting me know, I appreciate you
Thank you, incredible that such a small piece caused so much trouble, I no longer knew if it was my alternator or if they tricked me with the battery, thank you, excellent video
I’ve change mine and still facing the same issue I don’t see what do so now even change the auxiliary battery same it would die while driving den when I tried to start it up it would sometimes and sometimes the battery goes completely dead
good diagnosis and straight to the point; short and sweet. thanks for sharing. i wonder if you can do a video about the starting and charging wiring diagram for 2015 chevy malibu 2.5L LT. I have the diagram but I have no clue how to interpret it from the ignition to the control modules, starter and battery etc. could you do a video explaining how it works? thanks
I am having a p305f code the dealership wanted over 700 to fix it but decided i would do it on my own. The car starts but the whole car fully resets when the stop/start engages while im out driving. Also the power im getting from acceleration is very slow idk if that is connected to this but i will be getting my part soon and installing it. Thanks for the help and ill keep you updated!
Your video is helpful thanks :) I am having the same issue in my chevy2014, checked battery-good condition Checked grounding wires- good condition I am just unable to catch that which relay you said to swap? Double batteries? Or else ?
Hey Man. I’m having a similar issue with my 2015 Malibu. I have power when key is turned on. The engine just barely turns over like batt is low. Bat has plenty of juice. Could this bat control module cause this issue? The cat was starting and running fine day before this condition developed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. TY so much
Could it be the the starter that is bad. I changed out the Fuse Distribution block and rewired the DBMC connection it was melted pretty bad.now all it does is click. Twice when you turn the key over. The voltage on my dash is at 11.9v thanks for you response.
@@bobbylikens5649 check voltage drop on the starter B+ wire...also make sure the starter solenoid is getting the signal when the key is turned to the start position
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair thanks for confirming. That's what I thought. I watched a few videos and read a few articles and no one mentioned it.. the dealer is either mistaken or shade telling me it had to.
I know this is an older video. I am having the same type of issues. If it really is the module. How would I locate this specific piece and where do I order it from? Would greatly appreciate your further assistance
I have 2015 chevrolet malibu and module melted is working perfectly fine no lights came on but autostart stop working do u know why did module melt I recently installed 10inch sub small could that cause the problem
Good sir I have a 2018 malibu it won't start on its on has to be jumped off but the battery is good and the alternator is good.. got a p3055 and p3056 code I need help
My car literally just did this. I came home last night and woke up this morning heading to work and tried starting my car and the key got stuck and I realized the battery was dead. I can’t Get into my trunk to charge battery. Can I jumpstart battery under hood? Or what should I do now?
Gerardo Marin I got it from my local chevy dealer! you should call your local chevy dealer, I'm pretty sure they will have it or they can order it for you!
Hello sir I changed both batteries the one in the trunk and the one in the hood and got the Battery control module put in 3 months ago now my car doing the same thing again what you think it could be
Broooo my malibu the auto start kicks and and i let go off brake and car turns off happens only sometimes computer said it was battery i replaced and still happens!!!
Dual battery modules. I don't know why manufacturers use these devices. Two batteries wired in parallel present as one big battery. No need for any modules of any kind.
So I changed both batteries and also the battery module and nothing and at the end it was Fuse #18 battery isolator. Is locate it under the hood fuse box next to the main battery open it and replace fuse 18 you can use the fuse at spot 57 which is a spare.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repairhello and thank you for the video. I understand voltage drop, my question is what source did you use to diagnose this system? Do you use Alldata or some wire schematic app? Thx again!
Thanks st… been having this problem for a while.. my car doesn’t start like once a month up until I jump it.. and then is ok for a little while…then does it again… I realized that turning the ac/heat all the way up also bypass the DBCM sometimes when the autostop “starts to feel weak.”
Very impressed with your diagnosis. Well done easy to understand and has solved our problem on a 2016 LTD Malibu that failed twice stop start on a freeway - VERY dangerous place to have failed.
Hi don’t mind my gaming account lol but I have a serious question. Ok my 2016 Chevy Malibu LTZ is stuck in service theft detection mode an won’t crank an I have tried everything an this video an it still won’t work. What do I do.
Your video was helpful on my 2015 Malibu. When I got a check engine light Code P058D. Bought a new dual battery module and everything works now. No check engine now. Thanks…
@@chevyssboy89 I bought the G1 Block ASM-Fuse.. I don’t know if 2015 and 2014 Malibu are the same.. Dual battery control module that sit on the positive terminal. The whole black structure.. Hope that helps..
Thx Bro great vid. I also have a vehicle well customer that i have to go and diagnose her Malibu as well, it has the battery saver mode on dash even after she replaced both batteries and the battery negative sensor, so after watching your vid , ill take a look at the Dual battery control module tmrw. THANKS AGAIN DUDE.. keep doing what you do and congrats on opening your own repair shop...
I have a professional question for you. We just changed our control module out 2 months ago. Now, it’s gone out again. I didn’t know if you still did mechanic work.
Hello urgent help, sooo basically the same thing happend to my 2015 Chevy Malibu, I changed the control module and it seemed to have burnt it, the thing is that it’s back to usual, the auto stop is completely useless it literally goes out everyone I stop the car, what can I do ??????????
My son has a 2013 Malibu hybrid and having the same problem but th word PARK is lit up on the dash as well but the dash still lit up and radio works but the car won’t start can you tell me what that be please and thank you
Hello, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, it is very illustrative, please can you help me, I have a Malibu 2013 2.5lts automatic, it gives me the P0700 generic error from the box almost a year ago it started to fail and just by isolating it or I taped the connector that goes to the box and for about 6 months it did not give me any problems, suddenly the box started to have problems, you accelerate and the engine does not respond or it makes changes out of time, I saw that the cable that goes to the chassis The motor had an intermittence, I checked it with the multimeter, I put a new ground cable from the motor to the chassis or battery, it worked correctly for a week and one day in the morning it started to fail, please can you help me or guide me to fix it and taking advantage of it, you can tell me where the second battery that the car has is to know its location. Thank you very much in advance and greetings from Mexico
@ramsesar2289 it sounds like you have a wiring issue, I recommend you take it to a pro mechanic who can diagnose it for you, the auxiliary battery is in the trunk, check it's connections!
it just had a blown fuse.circuit was back feeding into module connection causing it to read 9 volts . By replacing this control module he replaced the fuse that was in it.
My check engine light is on and my battery hasn’t been able to hold a charge I’ve replace it and my alternator twice at this point. I did go to autozone and I got an error code referring to my dual battery module will replacing it fix my problems?
You know, I just received your video. And I know your voltage dropped as I had the same problem.2 yrs ago. When I finally got my key out. I looked at the cut part of key. I saw how much dirt was in the key for the ignition . I sprayed it with GM jigaloo and washed the key and ignition with the jigaloo spray. Never had a problem since. May not be related or I may have prevented it from becoming one
I stumbled across this video after buying a new battery and new starter for my malibu. These are the exact symptoms of my malibu. Thank you so mich for this!
i am having same problem i have changed both batteries and even changed alternator and whole tune up and sometimes it turns on and sometimes it leaves me everwhere ..then 20 minutes later it turns on .where do i order the module
