I had two of those. First was a white ‘95 and the second was a black ‘98. White one was a tad quicker with 195hp and the ‘98 had 180. Fairly quick little trucks for their time.
Missing the original wheels that the SS came with, and GM should of supercharged the SS 4.3L, if they did it to the 3.8L...they sure could of done it to the 262 SS
@@Killins37 the tune of the ECU made it just as strong as the standard sbc that was produced at the time... Given its horsepower to weight ratio. I've been running this same stock setup in my Sonoma for 10 years now and am just now starting to get beat by other stock vehicles in the same class... Time to make some changes.even though I really don't want to
Hey what so good about that truck cuz I just bought 1994 Chevy s10 SS on door and I was like haha it just logo but I research... it is really s10 SS only made 3000 . So pls tell me that truck I don’t know nothing about that truck
The majority of the difference between a SS s10 and the rest is mostly upgraded suspension goodies, otherwise known as rpo code 'ZQ8' . It has a 'drop' suspension from the factory , which has lowered front spindles and (minus 1 leaf spring in the back). So the payload is alot less. If your SS is equipped with a 4.3L mated to the 5 speed trans then most likely the rear axle housing has the 3rd shock mount for the 'anti-hop' shock. The SS came with 16" x 8'" 5 spoke rims (this video don't show them on the truck.) Wider rims mean more capability of cornering. It was possible to get the shocks from the factory with Bilstein or DeCarbon. A quick ratio 12:1 gear box was also installed. So lock to lock on the wheel is about 1.5-2.0 full turns. A power steering cool line was installed and is behind the grill (which was optional) A rear sway bar was installed (not standard on ls models) A solid mid frame bar was bolted on to keep the frame from torsion twists and lastly the 3 piece bumper was replaced with a 1 piece roll pan bumper....other then that it's just a s10 🙃
