In this video we show how to remove the grille from a 2016 to 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. There are a few clips and 4 10mm bolts holding the grille on the truck. With these simple instructions you can see how to take off the grill on your chevy Silverado yourself in just a few minutes with this do it yourself diy guide.

you need a tuner in order to do that. Go to RU-vid. there is a video there for how to do a grill shutter delete on a Silverado.

Yes, this was VERY helpful/informative. Didn't know GM is now using metric fasteners. Doing research for my upcoming grille swap project on my 2017 'Silvershadow'. :-) BTW; What about the Chevy Emblem? Just snaps out, too?

Spray the expansion plugs with glass cleaner when removing and installing. Makes it really easy to remove and install them and the glass cleaner evaporates.

I didn't get your 1st name but let me tell you, you've helped me so much with this video. I ordered my Grill as a replacement because of a deer encounter. Me taking it off won't be an issue because it's a bit damaged already. This should work out real good now. Much Appreciation and Thanks for this video. I liked and subscribed.

I have bird nest material behind my 2017 Silverado grill. Will removing the top piece ( the first piece you removed) allow me access to stick a shop vac into to clean it out?

Is the the grill one complete piece or is the horizontal center piece where the chevy bow tie is replaceable? I hit a deer and crack the horizontal center piece.

@@chrism.9497 I have 2 grills, I cut one to replace with a better grill, I tried to remove the cover but its on there... I'm thinking someone needs to pull while I release the clip, but I can't do it myself.
