Oil filter and drain plug nearby, great. I've bought synthetic 5w-30 and AC Delco filter, will give wife's 1.2 Trailblazer it's first oil change at 2k miles tomorrow. Thank you!
You don't have to take the cover off I have no idea why people are doing that. There is a cover that you remove with 3 7mm (I believe) bolts and right under that you have your filter and drain plug conveniently located right next to each other. Oil changes on the trailblazer don't get any easier
Most likely he removed the bottom cover so the oil didn't leak all over and make a mess, running all over the top side of the that cover. Notice how he used brake aerosol brake cleaner to clean any oil that ran down the side of the engine when filter came off. Thanks for the video well done sir.
@@dand3975 oil does not make a mess on the large cover, there is a cutout for the drain plug and filter. It is big enough to allow the oil to drain without hitting the cover!
I have moved to using 5W20 because it uses a quart of 0W20 an oil change. Since changing over it doesn't use it near as much. I believe it is because the turbo charger is oil cooled in the 1.3L. The extreme heat created by the charger evaporates that thin weight of oil. The horsepower to weight ratio makes this combo under powered in my humble opinion.
